Yuko Aotsuchi (青土祐子, "Helpful Child, Blue Earth") is one of the Judges of the Central 46, she was chosen for her experience within politics and strict adherence to the law. A woman of strong morale and conscience, Yuko is well liked by the souls living in the Rukon Districts for her efforts at making their often short stays in Soul Society as pleasant as she can reasonably manage. Even if many of her peers are strongly against the idea.
However, while a woman of strong character, Yuko's life was turned upside down when she was visited by a young man who charmed her into believing that he was a benevolent soul who only wished to aid those less unfortunate than them. Although an old woman with a healthy dose of scepticism, she strangely found those critical thoughts banished from her mind entirely while talking to him. In those moments, it was as though he was the only one who existed, worse yet, he was the only one who mattered.
When he asked her for her name, out of curiousty and as a possible reference, she answered readily, almost hypnotically one might say. The moment the words and kanji left her lips however, an overwhelming dread filled her heart as she realized what she had just done. The sorcerer cursed her with a powerful Geas and made the old judge a slave to his will.
Not wanting to live a life of servitude, Yuko attempted to kill herself, but that kind of freedom was not hers to have, as her body had turned against her and would no longer do as she wanted. All she could do was weep and curse her foolishness.
Appearance[]
An old woman, Yuko stands below most of those she meets, but with a fierce determination and a strength of character few would question. Yuko radiates a sense of authority where she walks as if she has nothing to fear, her gait confident and secure even though she's easy prey to most enemies. A woman of kind facial features, many have still remarked on a veneer of steel beneath the apparent softness. Hinting at the womans true disposition as an agent of the law.
Yuko keeps her long gray hair adorned into a large bun, often adorned with simple decorations and always neatly washed. Her clothing is nondescript and simple, ot being one for vanity.
