The "Wolves of Yoshida" (吉田の狼, Yoshida no Ōkami) were a group of Souls that gathered together under Seireitou Kawahiru and Raian Getsueikirite in order to survive the wartorn era of Soul Society. The group was founded during the youth of the two aforementioned individuals, following the death of their teacher, Shōyō, in order to survive by working as a cohesive unit. It was disbanded after the two of them had been instated as Captains of the premature Gotei 13, with the few surviving members joining the military organization as seated officers.

Known as the Wolves of Yoshida, derived from their founders' origins said to be from Yoshida and because of their savage methods of combat, they were a group that, at the height of their existence, rivaled even that of the premature Gotei 13 and was stated to have possessed over thirty members.
