Transcendent (超越者, Chōetsu-sha; Japanese for "Transcendental Being") is a term used by Sōsuke Aizen to refer to himself, specifically in relation to overcoming the limitations of a Shinigami's spiritual body to surpass their natural "limit" or "boundary" and achieve greater growth[1][2] According to Aizen, this occured due to the restructuring of his soul following the "will of the Hōgyoku"[2]
