Timothy Jones (チモシー·ジョーンズ, Chimoshī Jōnzu) is an Echt Quincy and a member of the Wandenreich's Sternritter, with the designation "E" - "The Engineer". He is also one of the four Elite Guards.
Appearance[]
Timothy is a middle-aged Afro-American man. He is rather short, but solidly built. He is bald, but he usually conceals that by wearing a cap with the Wandenreich's logo. He has somewhat bushy eyebrows and an unkempt beard of jet black colour. His eyes have been replaced by a set faintly gleaming goggles that are permanently implanted into his face. Furthermore, his entire left arm is actually a sophisticated bionic prosthesis with a number of complex, retractable devices built-in.
He usually wears the standard Sternritter uniform, with the only notable variation being the aforementioned cap. The clothing conceals the fact that a considerable part of his body has been extensively augmented with mechanical parts and covered with a composite silver armour.
Personality[]
Jones is a somewhat grumpy and aggressive man. He prefers to spend time tinkering with sophisticated technology and considers most of his duties as a Sternritter to be a mandatory nuisance. Nevertheless, he is a skilled combatant who can effectively cooperate with other Quincies. Bordering on brash under normal circumstances, he is also very analytical and determined in the thick of battle. He methodically collects data regarding his opponents to find and exploit their weaknesses.
A gadgeteer genius and man of the modern era, he considers Shinigami and their predecessors, the Balancers of Souls to be obsolete, a fact which he makes openly known to them.
Whilst ostensibly inimical toward his ultimate creation, HK-105, he actively repairs and supports the automaton during combat situations.

Equipment[]
Bankai Stealing Device: A seal that takes the form of a simple badge, developed by the Wandenreich as a way to counteract the ultimate weapon of any Shinigami. On average they are believed to be able to capture any Bankai that emits a spiritual wavelength above a certain point. The lower that wavelength, the more difficult it is to capture the weapon. In addition to the requirement of a high enough spiritual signature, those who had achieved Bankai Mastery or had an otherwise perfect bond with their Zanpakutō were incapable of having their Bankai stolen. As a member of the Stern Ritter, Timothy carries one of these Medallions.
Seele Schneider (魂を切り裂くもの (ゼーレシュナイダー), Zēreshunaidā; German for "Soul Cutter", Japanese for "That Which Slits the Soul"): A thin silver-coloured tool with a small rectangular hook on the bottom, large enough to fit a single finger, is a weapon used by the Quincy that bears great resemblance to a sword when activated, in particular by generating a beam of spiritual energy that takes the shape of a blade, but is in fact a very powerful arrow. The Reishi that makes up the glowing blue blade of a Seele Schneider travel at an amazing speed, making three million round trips across the edge per second. The vibrations generated by this are not only meant for cutting, but also to weaken the bonds between the spiritual energy of whatever it happens to cut thus making them easier for a Quincy to capture. A battle for the Quincy is one of gathering surrounding Reishi to use as a weapon making the Seele Schneider the most potent manifestation to this principle. Its functionality as a spiritual weapon makes it better against those who are physically powerful as spiritual impact will always over power a physical impact of equal strength. Jones always carries a supply of Seele Schneider stored in a compartment within his cybernetic body.
Powers and Abilities[]

Master Marksman: By complementing his considerable experience with advanced targeting systems installed in his goggles, Timothy is able to shoot with deadly precision under any circumstances. Enhanced Strength: His numerous cybernetic implants significantly increase his physical strength, and as such he is far stronger than an average Human. Enhanced Durability: In addition, his ability to withstand damage is significantly improved as well, and he may take fairly powerful attacks without resorting to use Blut Vene. Immense Endurance: Due to the artificial makeup of his body, Timothy does not technically feel pain. The receptors of his bionic prostheses do send equivalent impulses to his brain in order to inform him of sustained damage, although there is no lasting feeling that could hinder or distract him. Similarly, he cannot technically be worn down, for he might keep fighting indifinetely as long as he has the means to replenish his energy. Genius Intellect: Jones is a skilled engineer and scientist. He has personally crafted his own bionic enhancements and, what is even more impressive, HK-105, a powerful automaton which has been granted Sternritter status as well. Moreover, Timothy's intellect extends to combat situations as well, and while he is not the most charismatic leader, he often compensates for that with his ability to quickly analyse the situation. Enhanced Spiritual Awareness: The ability to sense spiritual energy and perceive spiritual beings is a rare skill that primarily manifests in humans after long exposure to a quantity of spiritual energy above a certain point. Most, if not all Quincy, are born with spiritual awareness, and Timothy's is further enhanced by several sophisticated devices he has installed in his body. Great Spiritual Power: The spiritual power of High-Spec Humans, even Quincy, is typically much smaller than their spiritual counterparts but it is not a state that is set in stone as made clear by the sheer power presented by Wandenreich's Stern Ritter who were clearly on par, if not above, Shinigami Captains in strength. Timothy's reservoir of spiritual energy is equivalent to that of an average Shinigami Captain. When visible, his Reiatsu has an electric crimson colour. | |

Reishi Absorption & Manipulation: All spiritually powerful beings utilise Reiryoku when fighting, but they are also paired with secondary aspects in order to create entirely divergent fighting styles and unique abilities. In the case of the Shinigami, they use the spiritual energy generated from their soul alongside a Zanpakutō to combat their enemies; essentially a power from within themselves. In direct contrast the Quincy draw in Reishi from the environment around them in order to form weapons and empower various techniques; a power garnered from the outside. They absorb this energy into their bodies and shape it according to their whims to devastating effect.
The Engineer (技師, Gishi): Timothy's Schrift truly is a power suitable for the modern times. The Engineer lets him control and swiftly reconstitute mechanic objects at a molecular level. The ability extends to his cybernetic body, so he may readily adapt his imposing arsenal of built-in weapons and devices depending on the situation. This includes a number of so-called "Equipment Patterns", that is pre-existing weapons configuration templates that might be chosen after sufficient analysis of the enemy's combat abilities[1][2].
Gintō Expert: Gintō refers to two things, a type of spellcasting, similiar to the Shinigami Kidō, and the silver tubes that contain liquified spiritual energy in order to perform this spellcasting. It is a powerful art, with spells as wide and varied as those used by the Shinigami but it is also a lost art with many of the Quincy having died following the first war between the Quincy and the Gotei 13, much of the records of those spells were lost and their practitioners with them. Timothy boasts a respectable database of the techniques and might employ them skilfully with the help of his advanced weapons systems. Hirenkyaku Expert (飛廉脚, lit. "Flying Screen Step/God Step"): In spite of his rather squat stature, Timothy is surprisingly fast and agile. While his skill in Hirenkyaku is far from impressive, he is at the same time capable of keeping up with many of his peers. Because he is a ranged fighter, the speed is very useful for maintaining distance between him and melee-oriented opponents. | |

Arc (弧線, Kosen): Timothy's spiritual weapon is built into the bionic prosthesis of his left arm. It usually takes the form of a miniature gatling cannon-crossbow hybrid. Notably, the weapon is actually a semi-permanent part of his physique rather than an item summoned from thin air solely for combat. The weapon has a default form, though it might be heavily modified with the Engineer depending on the circumstances.
Quincy: Vollständig[]Raziel ("The Secret of God"): Upon activation the plates of Timothy's armour shift rapidly, exposing glowing lines of energy transmitters and emitting a cacophony of metallic clangs, whirrs and the buzz of condensing Reishi. Subsequently, a pair of ethereal spiritual wings sprouts from Jones's back, each one consisting of three wide bars curved upward, and a halo in the shape of a cog materialises above his head. Then, two retractable missile racks and a twin-barreled gun emerge from his shoulders and a mechanical bracelet on the right forearm respectively. This is the default setup employed right after the transformation, but all four weapon slots may be adapted during combat and/or chosen from a number of pre-determined "equipment patterns" depending on the circumstances[1].
