A Spirit Weapon (霊武器, Reibuki) is the weapon of choice for the Quincy. They are created by focusing reishi into a Quincy's Quincy cross, take many forms and have many uses. All can fire the Heilig Pfeil.

Types

Quincy can form the reishi they have collected into multiple various weapons. While most weapons remain in energy form, some Quincy can solidify their weapons to look exactly like their material counterparts.

• Bows: A Quincy's basic bow is always called Kojaku (弧雀, Arc Sparrow). However, after developing their Quincy powers into maturity, the bows are given unique names based on the tastes of their wielders. This weapon is the most basic choice of weapon for a Quincy, as most of them chose to use a bow over the other types of weapons. A Quincy must have sufficient spirit energy to create a bow, and will not be able to unless their power increases.

• Spears: A unique spirit weapon in the form a spear that is considerably long and solid construct. It is highly dangerous at a distance.

• Swords: A unique spirit weapon in the form of a sword (saber). They can grow energy extensions, allowing them to be used in a manner similar to that of a Quincy bow.

• Artillery: A unique spirit weapon in the form of large arch with four large protrusions upon it. It is capable of generating large globes of spiritual energy that fire destructive blasts.

• Guns: Quincy like Pietro Badoglio can form their reishi into solid structures like a gun. These weapons, however, are extremely rare and uncommon.

• Gunbai: Akujin can form a Japanese war fan, known as a gunbai, from reishi to act as his spirit weapon.

• Knives: Nisshō can form small red daggers from reishi which act as a spirit weapon, allowing him to fire Heilig Pfeil.

Techniques

Likewise, there are certain techniques that can only be used with a spirit weapon.

• Heilig Pfeil (神聖滅矢 (ハイリッヒ・ブファイル), Hairihhi Bufairu; German for "Holy Arrows", Japanese for "Sacred Destruction Arrows"): A technique that gathers reishi in the Quincy's Spirit Weapon and then fires it in the form of an arrow. These arrows vary in strength from Quincy to Quincy.

• Heilig Spitze (壊滅剣 (ホーリースパイク), Hairihhi Spitsi; German for "Holy Spikes", Japanese for "Destruction Darts") is a variation of the Quincy's Heilig Pfeil, used by members of Impero Nascosto. It creates reishi darts, rather than arrows, for attack.

• Heiliges Feuer (神聖滅火の手 (ホーリーファイア), Hairihhi Faia; German for "Holy Fire", Japanese for "Sacred Destruction Flames"): A Quincy ability that allows them to condense their reishi into blue flames powerful enough to burn the sands of Hueco Mundo.
