The Sanctuary of the Guardians was the age old headquarters of the Old Guard, established sometime after the the conclusion of the War in Eden up until the Great Guardian Purge. During the tenure of relative peace that lasted for millennia , the facility was known to be a major hub of learning and commerce and was often stated to be the epicenter of bureaucratic affairs. Led by the One, the Sanctuary was jointly operated by the Old Order and the Kenmeiotome. Often times, the buildings were tightly sealed to everyone but the Guardians and their allies, leaving only a few yet wide areas open to the general population.

Even with the overbearing might and respect the Sanctuary typically exhibited to and demanded from the public of Eden, it did not have the capability to withstand against Inbouka's Declaration of Rebellion and the subsequent eradication that followed soon after, having routed most of the Order in quick successive battles. The complex would later be abandoned and was partially destroyed, having been left in a state of disrepair for countless years. Upon the Kenmeiotome's rise to self-sufficiency, the Sanctuary was restored by the efforts of Kiyoko Takara and would later serve as the headquarters for the governmental body of Eden and its races.

The Sanctuary of the Guardians's origins dated back to Eden's creation by the One, having the foundations being erected soon after the mass of spiritual energy took form and solidified through her efforts.
