Saitō Arakawa ( Arakawa Saitō), was the former mentor to a young Hibiki Kurosawa while they both lived in Inuzuri, the 78th district in South Rukongai. He was a former Top-Instructor of Zanjutsu at the Shinō Academy.

Shijin no Raishin Sealed Form (Katana)

Raishin no Shijin (孖刃の雷神, Twin Blades of the Thunder God): Raishin no Shijin is one of the very rare daisho sword pair Zanpakutō. In it's sealed form the pair consisting of a katana and a ō-wakizashi. The katana is a standard katana with a blade length of 71cm, the ō-wakizashi is of a much shorter length of 57cm. Both blades have a white tsuka with yellow ito woven neatly across, their tsubas are circular in shape with a lightning bolt engraved across. Both blades are held to Saitō's waist in yellow sheaths.

• Shikai: Activated by the command "Strike the Earth" In it's Shikai, Raishin no Shijin has become a pair of curved and knife shaped black blades with a silver edge and tip, they keep their individual lengths that they had from the Zanpakutō's sealed form, Also each blade's tsuba and tsuka vanish, instead have an improper hilt consisting of the tang being wrapped around with a black cloth. The tang also has a black tassel dangling from the end.

Shikai Special Ability: When released, the blades of Raishin no Shijin start conducting vast amounts of electricity. Which initially electrocutes anything in a 140cm (4.5ft) radius around Saitō.

Author's choice of Seiyū for Hibiki would be Ken Narita who is best known for his roles as Saitō Hajime in the OVA Rurouni Kenshin: Shin Kyoto-Hen and as Sesshomaru in the anime series InuYasha.
