Sūn Wùkōng (孫悟空 (ソン・ウーコン), Son Ūkon), also known as Son Gokū (孫悟空, Son Gokuu), is a Relict of the Old World. However, neither of those are his true name, which has been lost for millennia. After a conflict with the fledgling Soul Society, his true name was stripped from him by Ichibē Hyōsube. In spite of that, he still wielded his unique powers and obtained for himself a new name, calling himself Sun Wukong from that moment on. At some point after his long lifespan, he passed on and reincarnated into the Human World, eventually being reborn as Minato Kuramoto. He still possesses a degree of consciousness within his reincarnation, guiding and training him; their relationship almost identical to that of a Shinigami and a Zanpakutō.
Appearance[]
Personality[]
Sun Wukong despises being called by his Japanese equivalent name, Son Gokū, due to the fact that he hates being compared to the fictional character, Son Gokū, from the popular manga and anime series, Dragon Ball. He makes a point to correct anybody who refers to him as such, often going on tirades through his reincarnation.

Behind the Scenes[]
This character is loosely based on the actual Sun Wukong from the Chinese fictional novel, Journey to the West. As such, his history and role within the Bleach universe will differ greatly from its source material counterpart. Since the anime and manga series, Dragon Ball, exists within the Bleach universe, a personality quirk was given to this character by the author that he hates being compared to the main character of his Japanese namesake.
