Rihan Meitzen was the first head of the Meitzen Family and the inventor of the art of Demon Taming using the family's method. During his time as the Family Head, he brought the family much prosperity and wealth once he married Otome Gozen from the Gozen Clan, one of the many minor Noble Clans.
After marrying her, he fathered Mamiru Meitzen, Rihan Meitzen, and Rozeluxe Meitzen, before he was killed by an assassin sent by a rival clan, whose leader was also intent on earning the affections of Otome. On his death bed, he ordered his eldest son, Mamiru, to seal his spirit in Sozoku and to carry the tradition on with each family head.
Personality and Traits[]
Zanpakuto[]
Shinryaku (侵略, Invaders) is the name of Rihan's zanpakuto. In its sealed state it takes the form of a Sakabato with a golden sheathe.
Shikai: Released with the command "Capture", Rihan's zanpakuto begins to become opaque and slowly becomes ethreal as well. There are no other visible changes.
- Shikai Special Ability: Due to his blade becoming ethreal, it become untouchable by the opponent and by exetension, Rihan is incapable of of blocking the opponent's blade as well. However, Shinryaku's true abilities lies within its blade as once it makes contact with the opponent it is able to slice their soul away from their body effectively killing them in the process by causing the now freed soul to begin to rot into nothing. If Rihan's blade comes into contact with the opponent's zanapkuto, it steals away the opponent's zanpakuto spirit, sealing the opponent's zanpakuto if they have it released. Once Shinryaku has taken away the opponent's zanpakuto spirit, Rihan is able to summon it to his side to act as a partner in battle, allowing him access to his opponent's basic abilities.
