Reīssen (霊一閃, Soul Flash), incorrectly translated Rei Furashuu (レイフラッシュ, Soul Flash), is a spiritually-fueled technique usable by members of the Kori clan; either as a Zanpakuto-given power or as an ability gained solely by heritage and practice.
Overview[]
The Reīssen is a spiritual onslaught with no definitive form; its shape and characteristics guided by the users individual taste. There are as many variants as there are practitioners, for example; Kusaka is reputed to know all the forms envisioned, for he studied documents pertaining to past use; Tsubaki is noted to use hers in a more manageable form to achieve higher accuracy; and Itazura is noted for his defensive use. Amongst offensive uses Tadashi is noted to be the man who excels most, though Kusaka learned most of what Tadashi taught him. Due to this the Reīssen is considered one of the most versatile techniques of the Kori clan; enough so that the members often forgo the study of conventional Kidō techniques in lieu of this versatility. Tadashi, Kusaka and Tsubaki are noted to have little basic ability in the mystic art; instead preferring the Reīssen.
