The Onmitsukidō (隠密機動, Secret Tactics), also called the Secret Mobile Corps, Special Forces or Covert Ops, was the second largest organization that Shinigami joined, and was one of the three main branches of military in Soul Society.
Following the Collapse the organization itself was crippled; their Commander-in-Chief, Hissori Hogosha, was missing and the survivors where amalgamated into the Gotei Remnant. Despite this, many still refer to themselves as the Onmitsukidō; two such examples include Blake Shihōin and his older brother Yoken Shihōin, who are regarded as the last of the "true" Onmitsukidō left alive.
Although the Onmitsukidō were apparently loyal to the Gotei Remnant, the surviving members were still loyal to Hissori Hogosha, believing that their beloved Captain would one day return to lead them once again. In fact, many members of the former Onmitsukidō were secretly allied with Kage, a shadow organization led by Hissori's daughter, Hina Hogosha.
