Old World

The Old World (旧世, Kyūyo) is the original state of existence, when the Human World, Soul Society, and Hueco Mundo were all one realm. It is presumed that the original sin of Soul Society is tied to the separation of the old world and the existence of the Soul King. If the King should ever fall, it is said all three of the worlds would collapse back into the original form of the old world. According to Yhwach, the old world was a state of perfection, in which life and death were of one form. However, Sōsuke Aizen protests that such a world was not favorable, because it is "crucial that people not lose their significance as a 'person'."
