Muken Jūkyū no Kagi (無間十九の鍵, Nineteen keys of Muken) The Muken Jūkyū no Kagi were a set of nineteen keys that are used to seal and imprison criminals such as Sōsuke Aizen and other prisoners such as Sōya Azashiro. The set of the nineteen keys made it's first appearance in the quincy blood war when Shunsui Kyoraku had visited Sosuke Aizen in the prison. The recent wielder of the nineteen set of keys was wielded by Tanisha Aizen, who acted as the brief warden guarding Muken until she had finally destroyed the keys upon Aizen's liberation.
History[]
The Nineteen keys of Muken were originally kept by the central 46 in the compound by the head of the council. The keys were not shown until Shunsui Kyoraku had visited Sosuke Aizen in the prison to reason and bargain with him. There are nineteen keyholes on the ground of the prison, by undoing the keyholes with each key, the seals and restraints placed on the prisoner can be lifted, as seen by Sosuke Aizen's demonstration.
36 years after the quincy blood war, the keys made an appearance once again because of Tanisha Aizen's promotion to the position of the warden. The Nineteen keys of Muken used to be hung from Tanisha's chained belt, the keys were evenly distributed along the belt, each hanging independently. The belt has a secure clasp mechanism, ensuring that the keys remained in place while allowing Tanisha easy access when needed.
During Tanisha's act of liberating Aizen, she had undid all nineteen keyholes, she had freed Aizen from all restraints and seals, and had finally destroyed the keys by bending them.
