uh, Kenji told me that you are the big boss, so I was wondering, if I make a Fullbringer for the Fanon-Canon stuff, what preferred power level would you want that character to be at so I would be able to better attribute to the story, hope you get back to me! -Maestro.
Nah you can make a Fullbringer. There's not really any level or heirarchy to Xstence. Just make your Fullbringer, get him to Osaka somehow, and then let me know and I'll add him to the page.
The FC has stalled atm, but he'll be there once we get going again, I suppose. Also we have a chatroom (the discord) if you'd ever like to join and chat there, btw.
Edit: Oops. As for power levels though, nothing really too crazy to start. Xstence is meant to help the various fullbringers train and support each other, so I'd reccommend leaving room for growth/improvement.
Sure! The only thing we don't allow on BFF are cross-overs. You can put up your own character articles, create your own arcs, and even post your own stories featuring fanon and canon characters. Our policies for editting can be found under the Bleach Fan Fiction Wiki:Manual of Style, so just give that a read and you should be good.
BFF is an open wiki, meaning anyone can contribute, so long as they are within community guidelines.
Let me know if you have any questions or need any help!
It's mostly just minor stuff. For example, there should be no colons (:) in section headers. "Inventions and Creations" should be one section for the stuff he's invented, with "Equipment" being another section for the stuff he uses but hasn't created himself.
I would also suggest using the parent tab template and transferring the image gallery to a separate, tabbed page.
Finally and most importantly, you need to fix the table that's towards the bottom of the page. When we did the transfer it got stretched out for some reason, and the formatting is all messed up.
Hi there! I just wanna ask if Ulysse has become an official member of Xstence.
Also, I know I've made him super-crazy-strong in comparison to the average Fullbringer, but I'm also working on his theme again to better suit his powers since he'll be my main character, heheh. To be completely honest with you, I've actually thought about how I was gonna make him the Eyes of the Soul King, or the Sight of the Soul King (hence his hide and seek sight-centered game Fullbring). Basically, he split himself from the Soul King (like Pernida and Gerard) to pursue his own destiny apart from the Soul King, and his existence as a Human is just his way of living his life like the average Joe, whom he sees every time his master does his Soul-regulation job.
I just got finished introducing the FC version of Garrett. The way I've written him means he can appear pretty much anywhere, considering he's homeless per his introduction. Then I red through the recent activity and saw your Amaya Isaka. Which got me thinking. While she went off to do her own thing she still remained loyal to Xstence, and is likely looking to recruit for the cause.
This is where Garrett comes in. Poor little homeless kid, whose grandparents have died, is out on his ear needing a mother figure, and Amaya's heart melts when she sees him. It would be one way of introducing him to Xstence, and another way to differentiate this version of Garrett from his counterpart.
Garrett will be 23 when the first arc stars, but he'd only be 14 when he meets Amaya. I'm assuming Amaya's listed age of 29 is her age when the first arc starts? If so she'd be 20 in my scenario. That gives 9 years for history building and all that jazz.
Hmm, well Amaya would have been in her second year of university at that time, in Osaka. I'm not really sure where'd they meet. Or why she would take an interest in him for that matter. Amaya is not probably the mother figure you're looking for, but she'd probably help him out at least once to push him in the right direction.
That said, I'm sure if they did originally meet once, she would be the one to contact him to join the newly forming Xstence.
What exactly are your plans for Garrett though? Are you importing his main article stuff or what? We have a lot of martial arts specialists in Xstence already is why I ask.
Garrett's in Japan at the minute, and can pretty much surface anywhere. I'm pretty much just throwing out suggestions at the moment. But if Amaya even gave him some contacts that leads him to Xstence, it will help the interplay later on, which is the whole point. Shared history and all that.
The only thing I'm importing from Garrett's main article is his Fullbring. His personality and history is what will be the main divergence in this case, which is why I'm throwing out feelers. I'm not even sure of his combat focus currently; all I've said in-story is that he is a frequent attendee of a local gym. I've got him introduced; now I wanna build him up.
And I never liked Discord. One of the downsides of playing Final Fantasy 14.
He's homeless, she ain't. She's got cash on the hip, he doesn't. So she does a Ronnie O'Sullivan and buys him a sandwich, after noticing he's a Fullbringer and all; not to mention he's freezing his bollocks off. Talk of Xstence follows and Garrett decides to heed her and joins up. 'Cause they've got central heating.
Best hero story ever.
And the sandwich is tasty enough that Garrett remembers it, when he sees her again, he's like "you bought me that sandwich!"
Okay.... The only issue is that Xstence wasn't formed back then yet. It was kind of a group of close friends in Uni/four musketeers, that only in the present has become an organization with a purpose/wide membership.
I'm not saying that you shouldn't go this route with your char, but if it's forcing his backstory, you can always just wait until the start of current events to introduce him to Xstence.
Like would a 14 year old Irish kid end up as an orphan in Osaka? Homeless? Freezing on the streets? Do they even have sandwiches in Osaka?
I've actually been in Japan and they have sandwiches. They don't taste great, but they exist. I just wouldn't recommend them :P
If that's the case with Xstence I may wait a little with Garrett and work him in a different way. As I said I'm just throwing out suggestions at the minute; nothing is set in stone with him at present.
If you're okay with it, I might retain the whole buying him a sandwich scenario. If only so we can portray the look on Garrett's face when he eventually sees Amaya again and wonders "I know her from somewhere".
Quick query, could I make Shizuka Hanazono part of Xstence? I'm letting Sei use her in the Fanon Canon, and he said that would be one of the quickest ways to get her involved? The issue is, while she CAN Fullbring, she does still posses the capacity to use it after all, her main weapon is now Ryūjin Jakka. What do you think? She capable of joining or no?
Sei will properly RP her since the two are sharing the article. Also, the way that Ryujin Jakka is obtained is legit considering that Yhwach was weakened at the time by Ichibe before being empowered again.
uh yeah I'm really inclined to say no. I don't want to deny membership to anyone, especially just by saying a flat "no" but...
Like honestly, how the hell did this random ass chick pick up Ryuujin Jakka... as a Fullbring
Fullbring works by pulling on the "souls" of objects. So not only would she have to pull on the soul of something that's not even in the human realm and develop an affinity for it, somehow she'd have to steal part of the *living soul of a shinigami* in order to use it. We don't even know if Zanpakutou Spirits can persist after their owners are dead. So to me, this is just way too far out there.
We have Fullbringers with very unique powers in Xstence, but a flat-out steal of the captain commander's Zanpakutou is just... yeah. No, please.
Shizuka is mainly Aha's character, but I agreed to co-work on it. I figured why not, she's a fun character and all. In terms of justification, I'd say one possible scenario is that one of the surviving Quincy soldat (who were all over the place) picked it up after Yhwach went full Zamasu (never go full Zamasu) and, went kablooey. Probably picked it up after noticing that it was one of the medallions that steal Bankai, and probably went to the human world at some point now that the Wandenreich was, well, gone. Probably even went there to flee capture by the Shinigami. Perhaps he ended up fighting a Hollow, but was weakened from his injuries to put up a decent fight. Shizuka, a Fullbringer, came about the scene, tried to help but it was too late for the Quincy. She noticed the medallion, picked it up because, why not, and well, the rest is history.
Not sure if Aha wants to use that backstory or not, but how does that work in your eyes, Shonen?
We don't even know if Zanpakutou Spirits can persist after their owners are dead. So to me, this is just way too far out there.
On this point specifically though, it's worth pointing out that Sasakibe died and his stolen Bankai could still be used long after he was dead. Maybe it was only days or weeks after his death, but it's still worth noting that the Bankai still existed even after his death.
It makes more sense but it's still really random... for like, one Soldat to survive. To survive Auswählen, and then to escape to the human world. Also how did they steal the Bankai from the medallion after, iirc, Genryuusai had already stolen his Bankai back? Also wouldn't that be just technically the Bankai she's Fullbringing, and not the flames of Ryuujin Jakka itself?
Also, finding a random Zanpakutou is not the same thing as having a Fullbring, since Fullbring is the manifestation of the Fullbringer's own powers.
When did Yamamoto steal the Bankai back? He never took in that Hollowfication thing Urahara and Mayuri created. He died by Yhwach's hand after his Bankai was stolen. Hell, Yhwach even taunted him with using it on him.
It is a little random, but not wholly impossible. It doesn't even have to be a soldat, could've been one of the Sternritter; any of them, it doesn't really matter unless they come up in the FC story specifically.
Alright so forget about the bankai stealing statement. But my question about how a Fullbringer is going to use someone else's Zanpakutou as their own Fullbring still stands. We've seen people steal Ichigo's Fullbring and use it to enhance their own, but they still kept their original Fullbrings. And they had to be intentional about stealing it. It wasn't just like they picked up Ichigo's sub. Shinigami badge and were able to steal his powers from that. Bleach is very clear that Fullbringers have to pull on the Soul/Essence of something so... like I said, I'm just not sure how it can persist long enough for her to get her hands on it. Or even how she'd use it to begin with. And why is her soul so special that she can sync with Ryuujin Jakka anyway?
My bigger question though is why Ryuujin Jakka at all? That's a very major weapon, so the real reason this seems random is because Shizuka has no attachments to the canon cast whatsoever. It's just ... there to be cool, but the explanation is weak at best. The Soldat thing can make it work, but "working" is not the same thing as being a good argument.
Don't mean to be acerbic here, but I'm really just...not keen of having a major character's Bankai show up randomly after said character is confirmed-dead canonically and such.
All Shizuka would need to do is carry the Medallion housing Ryuujin Jakka with her long enough for her to gain a general fondness for it. Once that is done it's a simple matter for a Fullbringer to boost the soul with their own to invoke abilities; in this case ones similar to those of Yamamoto's Shikai/Bankai.
As far as the Bankai lasting? The canon shows that well enough with Yamamoto's Lieutenant. He died, yet his Bankai lived on in the Medallion. Whether the Medallion made this possible or not is the rub. There's sources in the canon for both saying a Zanpakuto dies with its wielder, yet the Medallion proves otherwise.
I'm not arguing either way on this. Just saying that the possibility exists in canon. That possibility is a fanon writer's bread and butter.
Question is: How will she get the Medallion, if it's on Yhwach's person the entire time? It would be slightly difficult to answer that question, in terms of the FC because of what happens to his body. May be it dropped off of his person in the ensuing chaos, landing in the Human World where she would find it? He would be too busy with his plotting and attacks on his person to notice.
I would think that Ryujin Jakka would be meaningless to Yhwach, aside from being a trophy over the person he's warred with for some time.
Yeesh. I get off work, come home, and I am greeted with this absolute avalanche. All I needed was a simple yes or no, she isn't meant to branch off into big of a discussion. Shizuka's Ryūjin Jakka, is not her Fullbring; for some reason, this seems to be the biggest misunderstanding I am seeing from this whole conversation. The Zanpakutō spirit has merged with her Fullbring, granting her Shinigami powers by using her old focus a an anchor. Kubo has done far more outlandish mess than that, and if this was a Zanpakutō like Nejibana I wouldn't be seeing near as much of a reaction from Chico.
I don't intend to change a thing about her, I'll make that quite plain. Sei can find a way to make her work within this storyline as a rogue agent if he has to, I know he can. I was merely inquiring if she could join Xstence so I'd have a launching pad for her to get into the story. However, I do not need to use that organisation to do it. Sei's an intelligent man, so I have faith in him to handle it in the most appropriate way.
Sorry to have created this huge bloody discussion even by sheer accident.
Tangent aside (which I can agree with Blank on this one; not really necessary. A better way could've been said), we're trying to set certain standards for this FC, that way it doesn't become a clusterfuck like the last one, where the entire Coven was basically Final Fantasy XIV.
Indeed. However, considering BLEACH is a clusterfuck in and of itself — no matter who tries to apply their, sometimes trollish, logic, to the series' own and in essence makes it worse — there's room for leeway in things like this. Zanpakutō spirits are not hard defined by the series, this entire discussion has proved that. My own personal idea is, once a Zanpakutō spirit is ripped away from someone — because that's what those Medallions do, they didn't just steal the Bankai, Hitsugaya couldn't even communicate with Hyōrinmaru anymore — and the owner proceeds to die, circumstances can change. The catalyst was when Ichibē removed Yhwach's name; the medallion was splattered with that same ink, and Ryūjin Jakka was lucky to free itself.
But as I said, I do not need Xstence, and it was merely a suggestion to get Shizuka in here faster. I can see that just asking Chico was a mistake on the level of "hilariously bad". There are other ways and other organisations to go about getting her into this little project.
This is the same wiki where people were cool with the previous FC having magic and powers ripped straight from some basement dweller's DnD campaign, but now have a problem with someone being able to channel Ryujin Jakka through their Fullbring in an honestly sensible way.
