King City (キングシッティー, Kingu Shittī) is a fictional city located in Upstate New York in the Human World. The city was founded in 1769 and is considered one of the most active tourist cities north of Albany, New York, especially the Great Escape amusement park it houses. It is also well known as one of the most popular college towns in Upstate New York, containing one of the best commuter colleges; many students from Fort Woodcliff attend this college or have attended it at some point.

Like nearby Fort Woodcliff, King City is under the jurisdiction of the Ninth Division as the two share the same district number, 1322. The city boasts numerous Hollow sightings on a regular basis: nearly 100 hundred Hollows are exterminated daily. In contrast to Fort Woodcliff, however, many individuals in this town lack spiritual awareness of what is around them. The sole exception to this are the few dozen Espers located in the city limits as well as the Higurashi Family.
