Katsurou Isamu (勝郎勇, Isamu Katsurou lit. "Brave, Victory Son'") is a human who was able to awaken his shinigami powers during his stage of infancy, causing his parents to abandon him. He was adopted by an unnamed man who would later give him to a Orphanage where in he spent most of his childhood.

Katsurou's appearance
Katsurou's appearance is that of a normal pre-teen boy with brown hair and eyes. As a human, his preferred style of clothing is that which consist of a white T-shirt with a vest over it, as well as shorts and sneakers but also wears other kinds of street clothes. A pink bandanna could also be seen ties around his right hand's wrist. He also sports a necklace with a golden cross pendant.

Zanpakuto[]
Shinsei (神性, Japanese for "Deity") is Katsurou's zanpakuto. Katsurou's zanpakuto is quite a rare one as it appears to be somekind of puzzle in which Katsurou has to assemble in order for him to use it effectively. Shinsei has a total of 5 forms in which Katsurou had mastered to use as well as to transform it within a split-second. Each form has its own name that Katsurou had made up.

- Kiba (牙 Fang) - The first, base stance of the Kōgon Anki is a large pole-arm type weapon, with grip-handles in the middle, and a large clubbing end on the bottom.
