Karawake (川別, Parting the River) is a Hakuda technique.
Usage[]
Karawake is a Hakuda technique, related in essence to the Yamasenshō technique, though the principles differ slightly. As with Yamasenshō, the technique appears to be simple; through the use of the hand, an incoming attack is deflected. However, the difference from Yamasenshō lies at the point of contact; once the attack collides with the user's hand, their force is redirected. Rather than use the exact same amount of strength to nullify the blow entirely, Karawake can be seen as a technique that uses just the right amount of energy to redirect the flow of the opponent's own strength. Passing from the hand, through the arm, and exiting from the other arm; destroying anything directly in the way of the extra limb.
This technique has also earned the colloquial name Munashō (空掌, Empty Palm), due to its nature.
