Kaguya Kawahiru (河昼 月姫, Kawahiru Kaguya) is a female Soul born of Sōzōshin blood. She is the youngest child of Seireitou Kawahiru and Shiori Miyamoto, making her the sister of Suzaku Kawahiru. It was believed that she died in her infancy during the tragic incident that led to her mother's death. However, Kaguya had survived and resurfaced in the Human World after some time, having eventually joined the Soul Society West Branch; bearing no memories of her infancy beyond that of her name and the face of her parents. Perhaps in part to cope with her trauma and the loneliness that arose from it, a mental split occurred within her, giving rise to an alternate personality within her psyche. Kaguya had made a name for herself over the years, becoming known as one of the most powerful members of the Sabres squad of Wing Bind. Within the western Soul Society, she is revered as the "Silver Death" (銀死, Ginshi); a testament to her fearsome powers and her reputation among other wizards and witches as well as her foreign origins.

Although not initially known to Kaguya, she is the product of both Shinigami and Sōzōshin origin. Unique in her case, she was able to achieve Dragon Dress without prior training. In this state, she is adorned in a vibrant white-as-snow armor that replaces the attire she previously wore, complete with a pair of wing-shaped hair ornaments on either side of her head. She also materializes a pair of broadswords that are reflections of her soul, akin to that of a Zanpakutō.
