"The reiatsu here is so thick! But I guess we can't let ourselves get carried away by what's happening over yonder. We've got our own battle to fight here after all... right, you guys?""
—Kenji to his fellow vanguard.

Kagamino City (鏡野市 (かがみのし), Kagamino-shi; lit. Mirror Field City) is a population center of unknown size in the World of the Living, Japan. It is located 22km east of Karakura Town.[1]

History[]

During the Winter War the city became the sight of an all-out battle between Anika Shihōin's hastily formed coalition and Sōsuke Aizen's Privaron Espada, with large portions of the city destroyed as a result of the battles.[2] Eikichirō Saidō was stationed here during this time, and bore witness to the conflict.[3]

In the years following the First Spiritual War, Kusaka Kori kept a holiday home here, which became a safe-house of the latter's following the Collapse. It was also home to the Fullbringer organization known as Esclavos, which Kusaka encountered after losing his Shinigami powers. The outskirts bore the brunt of Kusaka's battles with the organization, which was reported as terrorist attacks.

Anika's safe-house[]

Anika was known to utilize at least one multi-roomed safe-house within Kagamino City prior to the Winter War which Kenji Hiroshi and his friends had full access to. During the Bount Incident she found Kenji asleep with Lisa Yadōmaru in the house's main bedroom and promptly kicked him awake in order to recruit him to deal with Jin Kariya.[4] This safe-house was one of the few that was never discovered by Kenji's enemies following Anika's death and continued to see use by him and the Visored throughout the First Spiritual War. It eventually became the base of Lisa's book store, as well as the home she shared with her and Kenji's daughter.[5] Shinji Hirako would later inhabit the house along with May after Lisa and her daughter decided to help Kenji and Kentaro in their respective campaigns. Shinji had an old-school jazz machine installed without Lisa's knowledge.[6]
