Jiriki (地力, One's Own Potential) is a unique Kidō-Zanjutsu hybrid spell invented by Shiju Shūdō for the express purposes of accelerating one's training by leaps and bounds.
History[]
Jiriki was a spell formed before the advent of the Collapse. While the exact period of time is questionable, Shiju had intended to use the spell to assist in the battle against the Premier Battle Doll of Averian. Shiju later stated his timing was "off by a certain margin" indicating that the technique was properly formed and mastered more recently.
Description[]
Jiriki is activated through a particularly lengthy incantation. Throughout the process of this incantation, Shiju's intention is to properly synchronize his own spiritual energy with the soul of the individual undergoing the spell. In doing so, Shiju is capable of forming a makeshift dimensional space that is commonly regarded as the person's Inner World. However, it is slightly different to that. Rather than being the same world in which one meets their Zanpakutō, this dimensional space is one that comes from the cumulative spiritual memory of all the greatest opponents, rivals or even close friends that the victim of the spell has embedded within them. This dimensional space acts as a training area with a similar effect to the Dangai Precipice World, in that time is heavily compressed here — specifically by 2000 times. Within this dimension, it is not the physical body that enters, but rather, an avatar of the individual from their soul. Accordingly, injuries possessed by this avatar are reflected onto the real thing and vice-versa. To maintain the spell costs no energy, nor does dispelling the spell. However, a slight slip-up in the casting of the spell can cause permanent damage to the victim's soul, which is why Shiju is very hesitant in teaching anybody else this spell.

- Jiriki was inspired by various training methods found in Shōnen anime and manga. Among these, the strongest inspiration was Nanatsu no Taizai and the canon series BLEACH — specifically Ichigo Kurosaki's Final Getsuga Tenshō training.
