Jakuho (寂歩, Silent Stride), referred to as Owl Wings (梟羽衣, Sakeū) by Naibu Shizuka, was a method of high-speed movement utilized predominately by the Sentōkijin. Kitsui Sanretsu was also known to utilize this form of high-speed movement.
Overview[]
Naibu likened Jakuho to an owl's feathers; an owl flies almost silently which, as a nocturnal creature, greatly aided its ability to kill prey. The Sentōkijin likewise where utterly silent in their movements. Unlike Shunpo, which created a swishing sound, or Sonído, which possessed a booming quality, Jakuho was utterly without sound. It also didn't disturb the air or create vibrations. This enabled the Sentōkijin to move around without their opposition knowing where it was they intended to relocate to.
Behind the scenes[]
- Jakuho is based on the Silent Fist fighting style from Naruto.
