Ishikeri (石蹴り, Hopscotch; lit. Kick the Jewel) is a basic Shunpo technique.
Usage[]
Ishikeri is a basic Shunpo technique, taught to younger Shinigami that attend the Shinnō Academy as a way of beginning to measure both speed and distance. The technique requires minimal 'steps' to perform, and allows a user to leap from one perch to another. In the hands of a skilled user, particularly one such as Yachiru Kusajishi, Lieutenant of the Eleventh Division, the technique can be used in combat as well, moving faster than the opponent's senses can keep up. In this surprised state, they become vulnerable to a surprise attack from behind. The weakness to this technique is, as it is used typically by beginners and children, a perch must always be found before they can move again, leaving them particularly vulnerable.
The technique was originally developed by children in the Rukongai with developing spiritual abilities, and implemented by the Shinnō Academy in the basic training course.
