Hikari Raiotto (光ライオット, "Riot of The Light") is a male Echt Quincy currently stationed in Naruki City. He is the son of esteemed Soldat, Judah Eli. Though he has always kept the Sternritter and the conflicts of the spiritual world at arms length, he never hesitated to aid his father when requested and would even volunteer to follow him on various missions. Denying him only once; a mistake he regrets to this day.

Appearance

Ever since he was a child, Hikari has been described as being the spitting image of his father. With the exception of his hair, he shares the sharp features and golden eyes of his father. Hikari would eventually grow into a handsome man with an athletic physique and above average height. He likes to wear darker clothing which makes him stand out compared to his fellow Quincy.

Personality

After the death of his father, Hikari's mental and emotional state has become heavily compromised. This has lead him to making a slew of irrational decisions primarily driven by, as Kenji Hiroshi put it, "impossible anger that chokes back everything". His resolve to avenge his father drove him to the confrontation with his murderer. Knowing full well that he stood no chance against Averian, and even how foolhardy his "plan" was, Hikari still pursued the Arrancar with feverish determination. Especially upon hearing Averian write his father off as mere prey. In spite of this, Hikari is still capable of seeing sense when the moment calls for it. Being proposed with the idea of retreat by Siegfried, Hikari eventually agreed, though his initial response was to refuse. The acknowledgment that he had no business standing between Averian and the Tres Pilares being what internally convinced him to run.

However, Hikari's dogged pursuit of Averian would not stop there. Several days after their initial fight, Hikari would travel to the Forest of Menos alongside his friend Shiratori, his focus on the mission being so all-consuming that he completely missed the remark the red-head made about how much he looked like his father until she left the room. Hikari is rather perceptive, as even with his mindset being heavily affected during Predation, he was still capable of mentally taking note of Averian's various eccentricities; most notably, his base instincts driving his every move. This perceptiveness doesn't alleviate his brashness however, a trait Shiratori noted remained consistent in the young Quincy, as he appeared before the cantankerous Arrancar, Gundinger or "Gunner" (as he calls him) without a second thought.

In battle, Hikari is very excitable, as seen during his battle with Clarion. He is fully willing to fearlessly sacrifice his body in battle against strong opponents. Confrontational and impatient, Hikari would attack the newly-born Arrancar in an effort to test his own newfound power. Hikari is also prone throwing insults at his opposition in an attempt to get under their skin. However, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, as he is just as capable of angry outburst as he believes his enemy is. Clarion took advantage of this, commenting on the fact that Hikari's father had been murdered by his master. Despite this, Hikari is capable of foresight, aiming to destroy Averian's place of power to prevent Clarion from drawing upon its power.

Fundamentally, Hikari is an honest man, firmly believing that a man's word was his bond --- a sentiment passed down to him from his father from the time he could walk. As such, he would never outright lie to anyone, especially Shiratori. This sense of honor even went as far as to prevent him from once again attempting to destroy his nemesis. He is even honest with himself in regards to how he would fair in any given situation, being fully aware of his shortcomings. He was apprehensive when first meeting Averian, and frustrated at how he still lacked the necessary power to defeat the Arrancar.

Master Martial Artist: Hikari is incredibly proficient in hand-to-hand combat. It being his go-to method of fighting, he excels in multiple forms of martial arts. Unlike most of Quincy, Hikari never had any talent for archery and instead chose to hone his prowess in unarmed combat. Training under his father and gaining experience through facing swarms of Hollow contributed significantly to his growth as a martial artist. His approach to combat is to apply constant pressure to his opponent, preferring overwhelming aggression to shut down any hope of a counterattack. However, for those who can respond to this pressure in kind, Hikari can also disengage from his opponent and remain outside their striking range. This is all done before instantly following up with devastating counter attacks. His innate talent has allowed him to master and mix several martial arts into a style all his own. The most prominent fighting styles being Boxing, Taekwondo, Karate, and Muay Thai. Hikari challenged Clarion with only his electrical reiatsu and hand-to-hand combat skills.

Immense Spiritual Power: Hikari boast a reiatsu that is comparable to, if not outright greater than, a captain-level Shinigami. He proved capable of standing against Averian without being overwhelmed by the latter's monstrous spiritual power. The exertion of his spiritual pressure caused a thunderstorm to erupt over Hueco Mundo. His power, combined with assistance from Shiratori was enough to overwhelm Clarion, an Adjuchas-class Hollow. Causing the latter to utilize a strange power he inhereited from Averian. Recently, Hikari's spiritual power increased exponentially, surpassing the level of power shown by Averian when the Arrancar fought off Hikari along with several other individuals of varying strength. Naturally, Hikari's reiryoku when exerted takes on the nature and shape of an electric current. His control over his power has been likened by Shiratori to how an electronic device controls and outputs electricity, a comparison fitting Hikari considering the nature of his reiatsu. During his second match with Clarion, Hikari was able to decimate the Forest of Trees with one well-placed thunderbolt, impeding the Hollow's ability to use the silvery trees as a cover and also hoping to chagrin his arch nemesis: Averian.

• The Thunderbolt (落雷, Rakurai): The soul fragment he inherited thanks to the sacrifice of his father, Judah Eli, this remnant of the Quincy King's power allows Hikari to generate and manipulate lightning.
