Hōsen Kuramoto (倉本鳳仙, Kuramoto Housen) is one of the nine members of the Ikken Kyūkage within L'Obscurité. He was once the husband of Azami Kuramoto, having first met her in the Human World, and is the father of both Takara Kuramoto and Minato Kuramoto. Hōsen was the first student to have studied under Seireitou Kawahiru, centuries prior to the Quincy Blood War, but long since abandoned his master in the decades following his training; an event which Seireitou himself regarded as one of the greatest failures in his lifetime and something he has long regretted even to this day.

Zanpakutō[]
Senjinseiha (戦神制覇, "Conquest of the War God") is the name of Hōsen's Zanpakutō. Similar to that of his son, Minato Kuramoto, his Zanpakutō takes on the unorthodox form of a pair of dark red tekkō, fastened to both of his arms and normally exposed due to his rolled-up sleeves. However, the difference between the two is that Senjinseiha is a constant-release type Zanpakutō; lacking a conventional Shikai release.

Behind the Scenes[]
Hōsen is loosely based upon Saiga Fūrinji from the manga series, History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, while also being represented by the latter's own appearance. He is one of three prominent characters in the author's story, besides Seireitou Kawahiru and Minato Kuramoto, whose Zanpakutō takes on the form of a pair of tekkō. This is a parallel made to accentuate both Hōsen's connection with the aforementioned two individuals as well as his Hakuda focus.
