The Great Guardian Purge, later known as Inbouka's Purge and Inbouka's Betrayal respectively, referred to the efforts made by Tougenkyou Guardian Grandmaster Inbouka Magatta to completely exterminate the Tougenkyou Guardians in order to absorb enough of their divine power to open the Last Door and gain entry to the Well of Awakenings.

Twisted by the influence of Lucifer's lingering spirit, Inbouka corrupted Tenshi King Myōjō Shūen and forced him on a path of genocide against his own people.
