Gillian Ichou (ジリャン公孫樹 Ichou Jirian; Literally meaning; Youthful Ginkgo) is a youthful Quincy who is currently in the service of the Ketzer. Prior to this, she was a officer in the Jagdarmee of the Vandenreich. She did not hold a Schrift, but was regarded highly for her unorthodox abilities. In particular, her Spirit Weapon was thought to be one of the most dangerous in all of Vandenreich. She left Vandenreich believing that the vision of world domination progressively was "tainted", and became unattractive in her eyes.

• The kanji used for the first portion of the Japanese translation of Jophiel (雨奇晴好), is read as Ukiseikou. It translates approximately to "scenery being beautiful in both rainy and sunny weather", which can be inferred as "eternal beauty" of sorts.
