Gantorra Mirronik (ガントラ・ミロニック, Gantora Mironikku) is a male Arrancar and a member of Verran Vega's group. Prior to Sōsuke Aizen's defeat, he served under his rule as part of his Arrancar army, occupying the Segunda (second) position in the Daga, an Arrancar contingency team consisting of key individuals with power comparable to those of the Espada. As of the White Invasion, he worked under the direct supervision of the Cuatro (fourth) Espada, Ulquiorra Cifer, operating as bait for the Gotei 13 captains who were invading Hueco Mundo at that time. He is a friendly rival to both of his companions, Verran Vega and Yylana Chuluena.

Gantorra has lived for centuries as a powerful Hollow prior to Aizen's arrival in Hueco Mundo. He served Hueco Mundo's highest order, its survival of the fittest and endless cannibalization, consuming other Hollows which altogether number in the tens of thousands. As of becoming an Adjuchas-class Menos, he was and is still known as the Gran Serpiente de Hueco Mundo (グラン・セルピエンテ・デ・ウェコムンド), Guran Serupiente de Wekomundo; Spanish for "Great Snake of the Hollow World"), a devourer whose power and insatiable appetite could only be rivalled by the likes of Baraggan Louisenbairn and Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, the former of whom was the god-king of Hueco Mundo before Aizen's time. Recognizing his potential, Aizen placed him under his rule, promising him power and status. However, perhaps as a way to keep him under control or because of some other reason, Aizen instead gave him the second position in a contingency team. It was for this reason he has harbored deep hatred towards Aizen and other Arrancar.

Gantorra participated in numerous battles in his life as an Arrancar. At Ulquiorra's behest, he defended Las Noches from its invaders as captains and Shinigami of the Gotei 13 fought their way through lower members of the Espada. Members of the Daga then formed an unlikely alliance with Tano Katsuro and his companions, aiming to fight off and survive the invading Shinigami. The group traveled together for some time before their battles culminated in a war known only as the Alliance Conflict. As fighting ceased and a resolution was formed, the Wandenreich's arrival threatened the existence of the spiritual planes. Gantorra then aligned with fellow Arrancar and hated Shinigami to put a stop to the Quincies.

Appearance

Gantorra is a powerhouse of a figure, towering over most individuals at above two meters tall and sporting a heavyset frame with pronounced muscles. He has the rugged appearance of someone who has lived and survived through wars, with sharp features and a scowl perpetuated across his face. His mannerisms and body language suggest a strong and confident personality. He has pale skin, silver eyes with slit snake-like pupils, and white hair as well as eyebrows of the same color. He keeps his long hair swept back and unkempt in a spiky hairstyle, reaching his waist. Some locks often fall over the right side of his face, framing it. His sideburns are long and flowing, the ends of which usually rest by his pectorals. His body is littered with scars of various forms and size, the most visible being massive diagonal claw marks across his chest and a deep cut on the left side of his face, just barely reaching his eye. When asked about it, he refuses to heal these scars, stating each scar is proof of his experience in combat and a memento of past battles. Remnants of his Hollow mask are not directly visible as they lie around his neck and converge behind it, obscured from view by his long hair. They appear to take on the shape of a snake's mandibles, complete with sharp teeth protruding outwards like spikes, converging on the back of his neck and culminating in a single, larger yet still small spike. His Hollow hole is located on his abdomen.

As a member of the Daga, Gantorra's attire consisted of his own variation of the Arrancar's standard uniform. His jacket was tight-fitting and was only zipped up to where his Hollow hole is, revealing his muscular and scar-ridden torso. His lower garment consisted of a pair of white pants with black trims as opposed to the traditional hakama. His footwear was a pair of black sandals.

Following Sōsuke Aizen's defeat, Gantorra's attire changes drastically as if to openly voice his dislike for Aizen's rule and standards. He now wears a black jacket that is similar in style to his Arrancar uniform, now featuring silver fur along its edges and collars. He keeps it open in the middle, exposing his chest completely. Similar tufts of silver fur surround the sleeves, which are rolled up to his elbows. His pants share the same black color, fastened by a metallic white belt and featuring similar rings of silver fur by the bottom hems.

Ouroboros (虚圏の大蛇 (ウロボロス), Uroborosu; Japanese for "Great Snake of the Hollow Sphere") is the name of Gantorra's Zanpakutō.
