Forms (形, Kata) are detailed and highly choreographed patterns of movements practised either solo or in pairs, often in repetition, to build ones skill in a particular field of Zanjutsu or Hakuda. The practice is a fundamental basic of martial arts and practiced by almost every Human or Spiritual Being who attempts to learn a martial art.
