Part One (Tara)[]

It has been almost a month since I was saved that night by Keiran. I suppose I am under his protection, although he doesn’t explain why I specifically need protection. Also his protection mainly consists of him dragging me around wherever he goes, which always seems to bring me into contact with more Hollows. Although I suppose I’m alive so he must be doing pretty well. Anyway we are currently in a forest somewhere on our way to Japan. I have no idea why but it is all because of a letter he received from an ‘old friend’. To be honest I get the feeling tha…

“Tara. Stop writing in that diary and get up. We’re moving on.”

“Huh? What? Why? You’re the one who decided to stop here! Isn’t it too dark to move on anyway?” I retorted.

“I made a mistake. We have to move now.”

…. Oh dear…. ‘I made a mistake’… Something is very wrong.

We quickly gathered our stuff and began moving. Keiran was moving much faster than usual. He kept looking around as we moved. As if those indications weren’t bad enough, the look on his face was. It was a mixture of confusion, fear and pure adrenaline. I could tell that there was something in this forest.

“What’s out there?” I asked tentatively.


“No. Don’t you dare. I want to know what’s there!” I exclaimed.

“I don’t know….” he replied.

Oh damn. That was probably the last thing I wanted to hear.

“I feel a spiritual presence,” he explained “but I can’t tell what or where it is. It seems to be coming from all around us.”

Suddenly he stopped moving. Which resulted in me slamming into his back. Then falling over. Not my best moment.

“Keep moving. I won’t be long.”

“Hey! You can’t just leave….me.” I began as he leapt into the forest. “Oh…”
