Equum Pallidum (Latin for "The Pale Horse") is a C-Class Daemon born 700+ years ago in Ragnarok. Sometime during his during in time in this endless battlefield, he joined a group called Adsectator Vitium (Latin for "Researcher's Sin") built by a body of like-minded Daemons dedicated to learning the lost origins of The Optimates to one day create of similar being under their control. In is unknown when, however he managed to gain the favor of one of the Life Dragons of Yuánrǎng, and has since split from the organization to pursue his own goals in Beast Realm.
Appearance[]
Equum's common appearance is that of a tall fair-skinned man standing at six feet and seven inches, making him tall than most humanoids in the world. His wavy black hair to trimmed neatly to his neck and often times sports a sharply cut beard. He is often a well dressed man, wearing clothes tailored to his build, even going to lengths to ensure the gear he wears in combat matches a his exact specification.
One should take pride in how to present themselves to another, even an enemy. It his belief that if he appears to convey a sense of structure and power, he will attract those with similar minds.
Even with his advance age, his sharped face and bored expression makes him appear to be a man in his early thirties if not younger.
Personality[]
Growing up in a realm where death was as common as breathing, it isn’t hard to see how a thought of survival slowly became the vice of pride. While he maintains an often bore expression, he is someone who thinks highly of himself and finds little meaning in dealing with those who goals do not align with his own. He has experience from years of war have begun to make in traditional combat an irritation to him, the lack of self-improvement being wasteful and not worth being spared a thought. He is someone who will utilize others and manipulation situations to see what change they will bring. It is one of the few things outside of research he finds amusing.
Equum is someone who wishes to test himself, often times on goals that others find impossible. While not cruel, his often-short words and neutral expression can often times make seem as he is belittling those under him. It is not so, for he remembers the struggle of living in this place, where just pure strength would not win day. You had to grow and evolve. He does not believe in limiting his self to appease someone’s ego and it one of the few things that can draw his ire.
He does have a habit to tracking the grow of weaker individuals, their failures and progress drawing a slight interest to the old soul. Those he finds worth in or those who seek to transcend what they are individuals he attempts to draw to his corner. Do not confuse these actions as him caring for these individuals, he can easily discard them as one does a broken sword. To further his power, he needs souls that are also prideful. The more arrogant they are, the tastier the soul.

Great Spiritual Power: Equum posses above-average spiritual power, a boon for living in the place where souls are reaped on the daily. With an influx of corrupt souls in Ragnarok, an intelligent Diabolus can use this to their advantage. While his power is high, enough to even to match a 4th seat officer, is lower enough not to get him notice by the higher powers operating in Ragnarok.
Sortiarius Expert (魔法(ソルチアリウス), Latin for "One Who Influences Fate", Japanense for "Magic"): Equum dedicated a portion of his life to understand the utilization of Sortiarius as a means of having an upper handing in dealing with his adversaries. In his studies, he has learn to inscribe magic tattoos onto this flesh to increase his focus and store at-least one mid-level spell for emergency situations.
- External Means: Because Ragnaork is one of the few places that contain both humans and hollows, it is rather easy to subdue these entities in inscribes spells onto the their flesh to utilize the energy of the souls to power spells slightly above his weight-class. As this method is the most common and once used it will essential burn through the energy resolves, Equum rather enjoys using this on hollows, their perversion of the souls allowing an easier use for malicious intent.
- Magical Sigils: One of the most difficult but rewarding ways of casting Sortiarius, using magical sigils is one that Equum hates to admit, is not a path that he has successfully mastered.
