Creación is a mysterious, powerful Arrancar. Thousands of years ago, he was the "first Hollow." Defeated by Shigekuni Genryusai Yamamoto when he was in his formative years, he laid dormant in Hueco Mundo for millennia. However, his Spiritual Power was not entirely dormant; in fact, the prevalence of his spiritual power is the reason for the existence and maintaining of Hueco Mundo, and all of the Hollows within it. Every other Hollow in existence are considered to be his "children" and thus if he didn't exist, then they would cease to exist. Because of that, while he's considered to be way too dangerous to be free, he must also still exist in order to maintain balance in the universe. Creación is one of four primordial entities, along with the Soul King, who are considered to be the pillars of all creation, and all of which must exist simultaneously.
Over the course of many eons the seal that was keeping Creación dormant was slowly weakening, but two major events caused it to weaken much faster. Aizen's attack on Soul Society and Karakura Town, (and his antics with his own Arrancar in Hueco Mundo), and Yhwach's attack on Soul Society. It's believed that, without them, it would have taken at least ten thousand more years for him to be released. However, he was released, over a decade after Yhwach's defeat. With power of the former Hogyoku still resonating within Hueco Mundo, combined with how strong he already was, it didn't take long before he evolved into an Arrancar. With his newfound freedom and power, he formed his own Espada and attacked Soul Society. Initially driven solely by an instinct and primal rage that had been boiling in him for thousands of years, it's noted that he sems to be continuing to evolve.
