The Chōdhori Clan (長泥家, Chōdhori-ke; lit. "Chōdhori family") was a small clan ruled by the Shiba Clan which was the fifth noble house of what would become the Four Great Noble families of Soul Society.

Overview[]

Since the times of the original gotei 13, the family has specialized in the art of Hiraizumi, a unique Hakuda and combat technique focused on precise strikes and fluid movement. Originating from ancient martial traditions passed down through generations, Hiraizumi enables members of the Chōdhori Clan to swiftly incapacitate opponents with pinpoint accuracy. The Chōdhori clan's mastery of Hiraizumi sets them apart as formidable warriors on the battlefield, renowned for their unmatched precision and lethal efficiency in combat. At some point, the Chōdhori attempted to overthrow and sabotage their parent clan, the Shiba. This was when Kaien Shiba was the head of the Shiba, Saphir, the 2Oth head of the Chōdhori had attempted murder on him but failed. The Chōdhori Clan lost their lands, authority and were cast to the Rukongai. The clan had developed a terrible reputation among the Seireitei. Raiten, the young son of Saphir and Umimara, escaped to the Human World with the help of Cellai. Raiten established a life in the Human World whilst living in a gigai, he married a human woman and built himself the hidden estate that his daughter Tanisha currently resides in.

The family's symbol is known as the "Mirror of Water Blossoms" (水花鏡, Mizuhanakagami,) which members have on their Haori.

Clan Structure[]

The only title and rank in the clan is the "Suiryōkishi" (水漿騎士, Knight of the Aquatic Essence) This prestigious rank is reserved for individuals who have demonstrated unparalleled mastery of water-based combat techniques, as well as unwavering loyalty and valor in service to the clan.

Clan Relics[]

  • Sōzankara (双斬冠, lit. "Twin-Cutting Crown") The "Sōzankara" is a ceremonial crown of quartz worn by noblewomen of the Chōdhori clan, serving as a symbol of their prestigious lineage. The crown is adorned with crystals, reflecting the clan's tradition of their commitment to honor and valor. By wearing the Sōzankara, noblewomen of the Chōdhori clan display their noble status.
