Celos (セロシュ, Seroshu; Spanish for "Envy") was a Vasto Lorde and a general of the Legión de la Oscuridad, serving under Tinieblas.

Appearance

Celos is a humanoid Hollow with some traits of a chameleon, green skin, large eyes, curved tail and a crest-like mask amongst them.

Personality

Talkative and enthusiastic[1], her attitude clashes with her nature as an advanced Menos. She is very eager to fight and witness her enemy's abilities[2], and she tends to mock them as long as she has the upper hand[2][3].

Plot

Celos, along with her six "siblings", has been personally chosen by Tinieblas as one of the candidates to become Vasto Lorde. She has been trained and nurtured together with the others, and eventually has achieved the pinnacle of natural Hollow evolution[4].

During the Shinigami mission to Hueco Mundo, she faces Captains Tarō Kinzoku and Sakamoto Risa. When she begins introducing herself, Kinzoku releases his Zanpakutō and promptly attacks her. Initially astonished, Celos quickly pulls herself together and fights him back, using his copied Shikai to do so[1].

Despite the Captain's ferocity, she seems to have the advantage. Eventually, when Kinzoku proceeds to unleash his Bankai, Captain Risa interfers and implores him to allow her to continue the fight instead of him. Celos acquiesces, eager to see her abilities. Subsequently, Risa tries to finish the fight quickly, but the Vasto Lorde imitates her technique and begins the duel anew.

Seeing she has no other choice to win, Captain Risa utilises Bankai, which is then promptly copied by Celos. The two fight further, and Sakamoto retorts to bolster her offence with mid-level Kidō spells. Reluctant to discard Bankai in order to easily nullify the spells, Celos struggles to counter the Captain, but ultimately fails. As she is pinned to La Aguja Blanca's wall with a Bakudō, Risa explains the Hollow her mistake and wishes her farewell before she eventually kills her[3].
