"Fear is necessary for evolution. The fear that one could be destroyed at any moment. Thank you, Gin. Thanks to your efforts, I have finally risen to an existence that surpasses both Shinigami and Hollow."

This article, Bleach Timeline (Kenji Hiroshi), is currently under active construction by the author(s) of whom this article's property falls under.

The "canon" timeline of Bleach revolves around Ichigo Kurosaki, the main protagonist of the story. This particular timeline includes events depicted in the works of Kenji-Taichō, Razo and APS, and follow the trials and tribulations of Kenji Hiroshi, Van Satonaka and Kei Yume. The story later transitions to the children of the aforementioned, specifically Kentaro Hiroshi and Haruki Satonaka.

Relation to Canon[]

Overview[]

The works depicted in Bleach (Kenji Hiroshi), as well as spin-offs and interconnected tales, are considered to be highly canon friendly. Most events depicted in the actual mainstream Bleach series are retained with little alteration for this fanon work, using what has already been established and working within those guidelines. As such only very few matters diverge from established facts, though some do exist, specifically when game-only content or filler material is used. Below are some specific divergences.

  • The Shiba Clan fell from their Noble status with the death of Kaien Shiba, though many of the clan members themselves go onto be highly successful Shinigami.
  • Shinji Hirako and others where not the only Visored. Kenji became an aloof and unofficial member of their group following his exile from Soul Society, although his Hollowfication arose as a result of Bansui's plans, not those of Aizen.
  • Kenji and his friends also met an imperfect Arrancar though this particular meeting was roughly ten years before that documented by Isshin Kurosaki.

Retcon[]

Retroactive continuity, often shortened to Retcon, is the changing of previously established facts in a fictional work. There have been cases of this throughout this fanon rendition of Bleach, specifically in terms of certain characters, examples being Kenji Hiroshi and Kusaka Kori. In June 2015 the storyline began undergoing a massive retcon. Examples include:

  • Kusaka Kori, in the original draft, was the son of Tadashi Kori and Anika Shihōin. This was later changed. However, the 2015 retcon altered this to the original draft, reintroducing into canon Kusaka's parentage.
  • Kenji's adventures with the Visored are shown in greater detail following the 2015 retcon. Previously his time with them was implied but never shown. The same is true in regards to Kenji's relationship with Kei; outside talk page comments between the creators of both pages, Kenji and Kei's past was never touched upon.
  • Shiju's meeting and training with Yoshiaki was shown in-depth for the first time. Outside vague comments between the owners of the respective characters, and on their pages themselves, their time together was never shown. This was made even stranger by Yoshiaki's status as Kitsui Sanretsu's teacher; this was thus a direct oversight, which the 2015 reton fixed.
  • Complete re-writing of established facts pertaining to Part II, which was the war fought against Averian. Greater care is taken to show all sides of the conflict, particularly those whose help was implied but never really shown. Examples include:
  • The importance of Van Satonaka -- who was the man who first fought Averian alongside Kenji -- is touched upon more often. Before the 2015 retcon Van was noticeably absent from most of the documented war, and mentioned rarely.
  • The possible addition of information to Part III which is subject to change to reflect the retcon made to Parts I and II.

Games, Movies and Filler[]

In the case of the above information, themes are generally vastly different from what is portrayed in said media, with characters being vastly different than their game, filler or movie version.

Historical Timeline[]

Pre-Gotei 13[]

The below points use the term BGF, meaning Before Gotei Founding.

  • This period was widely referred to as The Dark Age of Soul Society and was also known to be one of the longest periods in recorded history.
  • Records regarding Heisekai and Kohai Tochi were either lost or destroyed. Information regarding Heisekai and Kohai Tochi do not show up until the two Realms were "rediscovered" many millennia later.
Date Pre Gotei 13 Era Image
Pre History BGF A group of inter-dimensional deity-like beings called the Tenjin arrive from a break in the Universe known as the Shussho. The Greater Tenjin pooled their powers together to create a plane of reality around the Shussho called the Amenokai. Each of the Tenjin subsequently adopted a specific role in accordance to their personality and supposed specialty. Children of the Greater Tenjin came to be known as the Lesser Tenjin. Jealous of their "lesser" status, the Lesser Tenjin revolt against the rule of the Greater Tenjin and seal The Father, The Mother, The Son, and The Daughter within the heart of the Shussho at a great cost. Once the dust had settled, only a handful of Lesser Tenjin remained.
Pre History BGF The Tenjin each go their separate ways, establishing numerous territories within the Amenokai. One such being, known as The Balancer, more famously known as the Soul King, exiled himself from the Amenokai to create three different planes of reality later known as the Spirit World, Real World, and Hueco Mundo. In order to accomplish such a feat, the Soul King sacrificed most of its Celestial Power, significantly weakening it in the process. As a result, the Soul King entered dormancy.
Pre History BGF After a long period of dormancy, the Soul King reawakens. Using his Celestial Power once again, the Soul King creates life within Hueco Mundo. Unfortunately, one of the Soul King's brothers, The Outsider, intervenes without The Balancer's knowledge and causes the new life to become corrupt and disjointed. Disappointed, the Soul King abandons his creations and leaves Hueco Mundo. These corrupted creations would later be known as the Hollow.

The Soul King returns to the Real World and creates life once again. Afterwards, The Soul King establishes the Spirit World as the afterlife for the inhabitants of the Real World. To separate the Real World from ever intersecting with the Spirit World, the Soul King places Hueco Mundo between them. Unfortunately, the Soul King failed to realize that his first creations would become powerful enough to be able to travel to the Real World and Spirit World respectively. In order to ensure balance between the Living and the Dead, the Soul King implements the Reincarnation Cycle to control the flow of souls with him at the center. To ensure the protection of the Spirit World, Real World, and Hueco Mundo from outside intervention by other Tenjin, the Soul King makes it that his death will cause the three realms to fall apart.

Almost completely drained of his Celestial Power, the Soul King creates the Soul King Palace and suspends it at the very core of Soul Society. The Soul King subsequently seals himself in a dimension separated yet was still located within Soul Society. Before the Soul King sealed himself, he split his remaining Celestial Power into two, placing half into an Orb called the Kyūtai. In addition, the Soul King establishes the Royal Guard to protect himself and to carry out his will.

In addition to the three different planes of reality, the Soul King creates Hell. True to his role as The Balancer, the Soul King reserved Hell for those creations whose wickedness and sins were considered far too evil to be kept within the Reincarnation Cycle. Ultimately, the Soul King left Hell to its own devices, bestowing it with a consciousness to be self-sufficient. As such, Hell decided to adopt a state where the Realm reacted accordingly to the negative emotions propagated by the Soul King's creations in the Real World. In order to protect itself and enforce The Balancer's desire to punish those were rejected from the Reincarnation Cycle, Hell created the Kushanāda as Enforcers and Guardians. Seals left by the Soul King ensured that nothing could leave and enter Hell. However, creations of Hell, such as the Diabolus, were exempted from the Seals and could potentially travel to the Real World to feed off Human Vices. The inhabitants of Hell condemned to eternal damnation would later known as the Togabito.

Before BGF In an effort to subvert the Soul King's efforts, The Outsider intervenes and slightly weakens the barriers of the Real World and the Spirit World respectively, allowing the Hollows of Hueco Mundo to appear in both dimensions to wreck havoc.

The Royal Guard intervene and create a class of Souls called the Shinigami to cleanse Hollows and to ferry the souls of the dead to the Spirit World. To allow travel between the Spirit World and the Real World, the Royal Guard use the Kyūtai to create the Dangai. The Dangai eventually becomes used as a penal colony.

During this time, Twin Leser Tenjin known as The Builder and The Engineer descend from the Amenokai and use their Celestial Power to create two spiritual realms called Heisekai and Kōhai Tochi, unaware of the Soul King's previous achievements. This unknowingly reawakens the Soul King, who commands the Twin Tenjin to connect Heisekai and Kohai Tochi to the Spirit World before going back to be slumber. The Builder and The Engineer hesitantly comply and Heisekai and Kohai Tochi become connected and are seeded with Souls. Heisekai is separated from the main body of Spirit World via the Sea of Souls whereas Kohai Tochi is located deep within the reaches of the Dangai. The Outsider intervenes with The Builder's Kohai Tochi, weakening the barriers that prevent the Dangai from intersecting with the Realm. The weakening allows the Dangai to slowly seep into Kohai Tochi, forever changing the atmosphere and environment of the area.

In defiance to the Soul King's actions, The Engineer modifies the Souls into Yousojin, who eventually become the dominant race of Heisekai. On the other hand, Kohai Tochi eventually becomes inhabited by criminals and exiles from Soul Society, who surprisingly managed to survive the perils of the Dangai. Weakened by using Celestial Power to create Kohai Tochi, The Builder was unable to the discern the root cause of the Kohai Tochi, and was forced to return to Amenokai to recuperate, a process that yet to be completed.

Before BGF The Outsider infiltrates the Soul King Palace and attempts to sow dissent amongst the Royal Guardsmen by whispering promises of power and recognition. In the confusion, the rogue Tenjin hoped steal the Soul King's Kyūtai. However, the Royal Guardsmen manage to break his spell and proceeded to intercept The Outsider outside the Kyutai Chamber. The Guardsmen stop The Outsider from succeeding but at the cost of their lives. The Outsider is sent back to the Amenokai with the Kyutai before he can recover from their counterattack.

With the majority of the Royal Guardsmen either dead or critically injured, the few survivors take the Kyutai and hide it in Spirit World, magically enchanted to hide it from The Outsider. Before the Kyutai was ultimately sealed away, the surviving Royal Guardsmen use the power of the Kyutai to create the Ōin. The decimation of the Soul King's Royal Guardsmen forces the remaining Guardsmen to recruit Shinigami from Spirit World. However, the Guardsmen placed strict requirements for Guardsmen candidates, and only a small handful are actually recruited.

The Kyutai would later be found and renamed Sasaeru.

Before BGF A Tenjin known as Kami-sama went on to establish a domain within the Amenokai called Tougenkyou. In addition, The One created Katsumi Scarlet (the First Reikon Kyuuban), the Kenmeiotome, and the Tenshi. The First Tenshi, Michael and Lucifer respectively, are subsequently appointed the Stewards and Proxy Leaders of Tougenkyou while Yuu Hoshiko, the First Kenmeiotome, acted as the voice of The One.

Refusing to submit to the demands of her mother, Katumi Scarlet flees to the Real World. However, the transition from Tougenkyou to the Real World was too great to bear, causing her to enter a state of dormancy.

Before BGF Discontent with being a Proxy Leader of Eden, Lucifer takes up the Dark Arts to increase his power and influence. Corrupted and disillusioned, Lucifer rallies his Tenshi Followers and attempts a coup d'état, subsequently sparking the Tougenkyou War.

Michael rallies the Tenshi and Kenmeiotome to battle his Fallen Brother. The War raged on for millennia before Michael managed to slay Lucifer in a climatic duel. With Lucifer's death, his Followers were either hunted down and executed or exiled to the World of the Living, stripped of their powers.

Lucifer's spirit is sent to the Hall of the Reaper to be judged by The One's sister, The Reaper. Considering his sins to be too great to be remotely forgiven, the Reaper consumes Lucifer's soul. However, The Reaper is unaware that a small portion of Lucifer's spirit lives on in the The One's Well of Awakenings.

Shortly after conclusion of the Tougenkyou War, Yuu Hoshiko discovers a young Tenshi girl amongst the ruins of Lucifer's former home. She takes the young girl into her care and formally adopts her, naming her Shiawase.

TougenkyoWar
Before BGF Desiring to act outside his confinement in the Soul King Palace, The Soul King creates a human vessel from his mind to act as an observer. The vessel in question, is given similar abilities to the Shinigami as well as a myriad of powers unique to the Tenjin.

Before the Soul King can impart a portion of his will to the vessel, The Outsider manipulates The Joker into stealing the vessel and handing it over to him. The Outsider ultimately betrays The Joker and consumes his essence, empowering him further. The Outsider takes the vessel to the Real World and imparts a small portion of his will, giving it life and an underlying desire to kill The Soul King. The Outsider abandons the vessel afterward.

The Soul King commands the Royal Guardsmen to retrieve the vessel, but all attempts result in failure. Disenchanted with his failure, The Soul King returns to his slumber.

The vessel that was spirited away by The Outsider would later be known as Yhwach.

Before BGF Tired as acting as Spirit Guides and Protectors to Humans and Souls alike, a majority of the Shinigami breakaway from the Shinigami Protectorate and attempt to conquer Spirit World. Many become Warlords in the process whereas the Loyalist Shinigami attempt to stop the the Warlords from succeeding, all the while trying to maintain the balance of souls. This marks the beginning of the Shinigami Civil War, later being called the Dark Age of Soul Society.

Fearing the power of the only known Shinigami to be capable of manipulating the Dangai, Hitotoki Itoshii, the Warlords momentarily band together to capture and seal her into the deepest bowels of Mt. Fuji in the Real World. Records of Hitotoki's existence eventually become lost, completely erasing her from the knowledge of Soul Society sans a few Legends about a Legendary Warden of the Dangai.

Many of the Tenjin and Royal Guardsmen believe to had been The Outsider's doing but lack of information fails to confirm this. The Royal Guardsmen are unable to intervene due to the threat of The Outsider invading the Soul King Palace again and the fact that the Civil War does not threaten Spirit World as a whole.

Before BGF Katsumi Scarlet awakens in the Real World and spends several decades wandering and preying on Humans and Shinigami who comes across her. She later finds a dormant Hitotoki Itoshii deep within the bowels of Mt. Fuji and awakens her. Realizing that Katsumi Scarlet was lonely and a person who rejected her intended purpose, Hitotoki pledges her eternal servitude to Katsumi. The two journey together and later creates the first of the Elder Reikon Kyuuban, Kain Daisuke. The Elder-class of the Reikon Kyuuban is soon established. The Normal-class Reikon Kyuuban is created from those turned by the Elders, each consolidating them into their own respective "Houses".

Katsumi Scarlet establishes the Fushi Coven, and proceeds to secretly conquer all of Real World, bringing it under the banner of the Reikon Kyuuban Empire. While Humans continue to live normally, Katsumi rules from the background. The Shinigami are unaware of this development due to the ongoing Civil War in Spirit World.

Before BGF After centuries of reconstruction, Michael, the Original Leader of the Tenshi, passes on his Leadership of Tougenkyou to Yuu Hoshiko and exiles himself to Soul Society under the pretense that his brother, Lucifer would somehow forcibly reincarnate himself within a Soul in the following millenniums.

Michael takes on the Yume surname, subsequently marrying a Shinigami Woman named Ayane Emiru and ultimately starting the noble Yume Clan. The Amamine, Satō, Tamane Clans later become interconnected and subservient Branch Families due to years of intermarriage.
