Disambiguation Pages
Wiki-wordmark

Disambiguation pages refer to articles that have multiple versions of the same name. In the case of Bleach Fan Fiction Wiki, three main categories of disambiguation articles are recognized:

1. Canon articles. These are pages which have the same name of a page that exists on the canon wiki and which contain links to various fanon versions of a canon article here on Bleach Fan Fiction Wiki.
For example, Ichigo Kurosaki contains a soft redirect to the Bleach wiki's article of the same name.
a. Beneath the main redirect, the various fan-made versions of Ichigo Kurosaki are listed under "you may be searching for."
b. In cases where alternative spellings or close-synonyms are listed, the disambiguation page will contain a "see also" section. For example, the First Division has a section which lists articles that have been titled "1st Division" but refer to the same canonical entity.

Note: Canon article names are referred to as "main name space" articles. Users of Bleach Fan Fiction Wiki may not name their fan version of a canon article a main name space, even if no other version on this site exists. This is to promote fairness and also to avoid subverting traffic from the main Bleach wiki. For more information see Project:Canon Content.

2. Soft redirects. These refer to articles which have the same name of a page that exists on the canon wiki but do NOT contain links to fan-made versions on Bleach Fan Fiction Wiki. Many times, these pages exist as "placeholders" for highly linked-to pages within articles here on the fanfic wiki. As soon as a fanon/fanmade version of the canon main name space page is created, the soft redirect page must be changed to a canon article disambiguation page as described in category (1).
3. Terminology redirects. In cases where Bleach wiki has chosen not to create a main name space article for important or highly-referenced Bleach terminology, Bleach Fan Fiction Wiki has opted to create a main name space article which contains a redirect to the article where they information on Bleach wiki can be found for user convenience.
For example, on Bleach wiki, Witches and Wizards is listed as a subcategory under the page Wing Bind, whereas it exists as a separate article here.
a. When this occurs, a brief definition of the canon terminology is provided, along with referenced footnotes. It is also categorized as canon material as opposed to fanon, although fan-made versions are linked to on the same page under the section "See Also." The list of fan-made articles should in no way be considered canonical even though they are listed on the same disambiguation page.

Note: When a fanon article that has no canonical counterpart has multiple versions, the category Category:Fanon disambiguation should be used instead of Category:Disambiguation pages.
