Bleach: The Rise of Hueco Mundo is a fan-fictional arc created by User:Achrones150, with the assistance of User:Bombadcrowftw and User:Wahpah. It takes place years after the end of the Winter War and the imprisonment of Sōsuke Aizen. It features the rise of the Espada, and their journey to restore Hueco Mundo to a power that would rival Soul Society. As opposed to other arcs, this one places readers in the view of the Arrancars that struggle to recover from the war's devastating effects.

Characters

All Bleach characters are "souls". Living humans contain souls within their bodies, while disembodied souls, or spirits, have a form composed of particles of Reiryoku called Reishi (霊子, Spirit Particles), which otherwise mimics human anatomy, aside from incredibly slowed aging. This form encompasses all of the spirit's being; there is no distinction between spirit and body. There are a variety of different types of spirits in Bleach, each with a different visual theme and approach to combat.

Protagonists

Ryoka

This is a derogatory term that applies to the group of Shinigami that directly assist in the affairs of the Espada Afilado. Due to the long-term grudge between Shinigami and Hollow, many Shinigami of the Seireitei label them "Ryoka" because they see them as traitors for helping the Hollow restore themselves. However, this group takes the title on with pride, due to the very fact that the first Ryoka proved themselves to be heroes. The list of members are below:
