Preface

Seireitei Correspondence. Excerpt from burned remains of the original manuscript.

Who is Don Kanonji?

Regarding this question, the author of the serialized article section, 「Please Teach Me! Shūhei Sensei!!」(who is also the author of this special edition report), received many inquiries from readers.

As the editorial department deemed the subject too cumbersome for the acting editorial director Shūhei Hisagi to cover in his monthly column, they have instead arranged a special feature to answer the readers' questions in detail.

Presumably, readers of the Seireitei Correspondence are aware of Ichigo Kurosaki, the current Substitute Shinigami Agent. As per this journal’s previous report, Kurosaki's power had disappeared after his battle against former captain Sōsuke Aizen, who has since been sealed away. However, you dear readers must also remember the fact that, according to the most recent reports, Kurosaki has since regained his lost powers.

This special report concerns the events that happened in this period. The length of time from the loss to the recovery of Ichigo Kurosaki's spiritual powers spanned seventeen months. To be precise, the following provides a special report of a certain "incident" that occurred during that interim.

For readers who live in the Seireitei, this "incident" hardly needs to be iterated, as you are no doubt already familiar with it. However, you should be made aware of the details of the incident as it occurred in the present world, the Dangai, and Hueco Mundo.

So, who is Don Kanonji?

We have not yet arrived at a clear answer. Nonetheless, we hope that by reading this article our dear readers will be able to draw their own conclusions.

However, if the author of this report could first offer his own opinion, Don Kanonji is most likely–––

【※The rest of the special report was removed following a review by Central 46. The article was replaced with a censored version and the original manuscript was completely destroyed.
