Bleach - Second Act (ブリーチ•第二幕, Burīchi: Dai ni-maku) is the official, long-running fan fiction sequel to the Bleach series, by Tite Kubo, created and written by User:Silver-Haired Seireitou and User:Ten Tailed Fox, that began in August of 2009 and continues to this day. The story follows Raian Getsueikirite and Seireitou Kawahiru as the central protagonists. It is set to end in May of 2013, following up with a sequel series; Bleach: Blutmond.

Story

Part I

The first part of Second Act, officially known as the "Akujin Act" (悪神章句, Akujin Shōku), follows the adventures of Raian Getsueikirite, the Shinigami captain of the 10th Division, along with his various companions, as they defend the universe (both the Material World and the Spiritual World) from numerous threats ranging from a deranged Shinigami former companion of Aizen, to an assortment of species whom had banded together. It also has several side stories, the most prominent being the growth and history of the Yonkō; four extraordinarily powerful Shinigami, who banded together in the past — with two of them, Seireitou and Raian, who have remained rivals and close friends hundreds of years after the original Yonkō were disbanded.

Part II

Second Act was supposed to end in favor of Blutmond following Akujin's defeat. However, Blutmond was later canceled, and Raian's story given a second part; officially dubbed the "The Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya" (児雷也豪傑物語, Jiraiya Gōketsu Monogatari) in honor of the famous Japanese tale and a main supporting character in the arc; Jiraiya. While the exact details on the plot are unknown at the moment, it will introduce an entirely new cast, as Blutmond would've, alongside Raian and his seasoned comrades.

Differences from Canon

Several differences from the canon story exist in Second Act, which carries over to its sequel, Blutmond. The membership of the Gotei 13 is one of the main instances. The membership and purpose of the Royal Guard has also been deviated from. One of the biggest differences from canon is that Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto never died during the Vandenreich invasion. That is because his death had not occurred at the time of the series conception. He does, however, die later in the story after merging with Raian Getsueikirite.
