Ayumu Otsukishi (越季死 歩む, Otsukishi Ayumu) is a spiritually aware Human who acts as a professional Assassin for large metropolitan companies within the Tokyo area, gaining a steady – albeit risky – income from their incessant desire to bring each other down. However, on a day where he was cornered by dozens of office employees out to kill him, Ayumu was granted a Soul Fragment from the death of Yhwach, enabling him to escape from certain death.
With the incidents of Osaka being at large, he has been assigned to investigate and, if possible, attribute the large-scale destruction to his employer's rival company. With his newfound power, Ayumu understands that this destruction is not something caused by mortal hands. Nevertheless, he abides by their instruction and is currently situated in the area, unaware of the sheer scale of the danger it poses.
