Ayanami Ichika (いちか あやなみ, Ichika Aynami) is a young female shinigami, that is the current lieutenant of the 13th Division, under captain Rukia Kuchiki. She was the former 3rd seat of the tenth division in the wake of the Thousand Year Blood War, having risen through the ranks to fill the massive gap left after many Shinigami were killed via the Sternritter.
Appearance[]
Ayanami is an average bodied “young” lady, with smooth pale skin and beautifully vibrant green eyes and equally as charming sakura pink hair, which borders on being a diluted shade of white. When in her Shihakusho, Ayanami wears a brace over her right arm that increases the retention on her muscles in the dominant hand, she wears this as a form of constant training, due to it making her hand want to go back to being relaxed.
Personality[]
Ayanami is a woman who is always moving forward no matter what, possessing a drive to protect everybody she cares for that is damn near unrivalled, while she does not have the most clean of vocabulary, usually swearing up a storm or downright insulting people who annoy her she is in fact a very kind and gentle woman, always having time for her fellow Soul Reapers or even just a regular soul in the Serieiti.
When it comes to what she likes to do Ayanami loves to enjoy her time with others, and train for future fights, while not being as battle hungry as a Kenpachi she loves the thrill of a good fight, thinking of it as a very good excuse to evolve her skills and help the person she fights reach a new level in which they could challenge her better, if they are weaker than her of course.
However she does have her dark and efficient side, when it comes to the many low class Hollows she may have to deal with she has no mercy, mowing them down with ruthless efficiency, saying it is her job to exterminate the enemies of the soul society, not allow the spawn of hell to feast upon the souls she swore to protect as a Shinigami.

Powers and Abilities[]
Great Spiritual Power: Being a Shinigami who has attained Bankai, Ayanami has a higher than average level of Spiritual Power for a lieutenant of the Gottei, being on the level of some captains, also having quite fine control also due to the condensed nature of how her Shikai deals with her reiatsu.
Keen Intellect: Ayanami is a surprisingly intelligent woman, while not having a mind directed towards the arts of Kido, or scientific endeavors she is insanely intelligent in the area of battle and strategy, always cooking up schemes on how to defeat her opponents even during a fight.
Enhanced Strength: Ayanami has above average strength by Shinigami standards, being easily capable of overpowering other Shinigami who are not as experienced in Zanjutsu as she is, being strong enough to lift things four times her own body weight.
Zanjutsu Master: Due to the very physical nature of her Zanpakuto, Ayanami has had to become a master practitioner of Zanjutsu, being a quite deadly force when in bladed combat against a foe, being able to overpower her opponents with pure skill and some physical power.
Shunpo Expert: Ayanami is able to keep up with other sub captain or even some captain level Shinigami, also being capable of “fusing” her Shunpo and her sword strikes, accelerating her swings to activate the ability of her Shikai with slight ease.
Zanpakuto[]
Sabishī kaen dōro (孤独な炎の道, Lonely flame path): In its sealed state, Sabishī kaen dōro is a very visually normal Katana. It has a circular shaped Tsuba, with small cut outs in each corner, causing it to resemble a curved cross, it also has a maroon grip and sheathe with golden accents, looking very average.
Shikai: When Ayanami uses the release command "Turn them to ash" and pulling her Zanpakuto out of its sheathe, Sabishī kaen dōro releases into its Shikai form, igniting the air around the blade for a short moment. The only changes it experiences are the changing of its temper partern, going from an extremely clean pattern to something much more jagged and “fiery” and a odd sense of pressure begins emanating from the edge of the blade. The blade also feels heavier, most likely due to the mass of condensed Reiatsu on the edge.
- Shikai Special Ability: When in Shikai, Sekishomaru compresses all of Ayanami’s Reiatsu into the edge of its blade, causing it to obviously exude a very dense aura of spiritual energy to anybody with Reiatsu sensing capabilities. Using the compressed layer of Reiatsu, when Ayanami swings Sabishī kaen dōro the blade exudes so much heat due to air friction it causes the air surrounding the blade to combust into extremely hot flames, cutting almost anything like butter when this happens, even melting normal steal, the main exceptions to this being those of higher spiritual power than Ayanami, i.e. a Captain or Espada at the peak of their powers or the steal of another Zanpakuto.
Bankai: Sora o yaku kakusareta-en (空を焼く隠された炎, Hidden fire burning the sky): By calling out "Bankai" Sora o yaku kakusareta-en's blade begins to glow red hot, exuding steam into the open air, the blade being so hot a small and thin layer of heat haze is visible around the entire sword even if it is not producing flames, the flames that usually appear once the sword reaches enough speed will become passive as the sword moves even a tiny bit.
- Bankai Special Ability: When in it's Bankai release, Sora o yaku kakusareta-en removes the requirement for a build up to heat the blade and the air surrounding it, doing this naturally without conscious decision or movement, being so hot that objects will begin to either burn or just evaporate when brought into direct contact with it, acting similar to Rukia Kuchiki's Hagga no Togame expect for heat instead of the cold.
