Anika's hybrid style, known in some circles as Ansatsujutsu (暗殺術, Art of Assassination), was a form of hybrid-combat combining advanced Zanjutsu, Hakuda, Hohō and Kidō techniques that was developed by Anika Shihōin and passed down through the Onmitsukidō. Following The Collapse only Kenji Hiroshi, Kusaka Kori, Rōjin and Garian Shinjo have mastered the style. Ryan Kuchiki, Kentaro Hiroshi, Itazura Kori, Garrett Sheppard, Tiffany Henderson and the resurgent Imawashī all possess knowledge of the style, though to varying degrees. Garrett was noteworthy for being the sole practitioner to mix Anika's techniques with the Yuengiri philosophy.
Description[]
Practitioners[]
Anika's hybrid style was practised by countless individuals following its creation. The Onmitsukidō where all trained in its use to a certain degree, though they never reached the level of mastery Anika, or even those trained directly by her, achieved. Kenji Hiroshi, Kusaka Kori and Sojiro Kori where all trained by Anika personally, though none with the same focus. Kenji's focus was mainly swordsmanship, with Sojiro studying Hakuda and stealth. Only Kusaka inherited the full spectrum of his mother's skills and his combat abilities where far and beyond even those Kenji demonstrated following his training under Kyoaku and inheritance of the Yuengiri philosophy. In later years Kenji taught his sons, Shinrei Kurosaki and Kentaro Hiroshi, this style, leading Kentaro to create the Niten and Shinrei to develop his skills in stealth. Kenji would also pass along the style to Garrett Sheppard and Tiffany Henderson. Garrett combined Anika's hybrid style with advanced Yuengiri principles, whilst Tiffany developed her skills in regards to the four main combat styles of the Shinigami. Randy Jones would later mimic the style after being influenced by Ries Nohr (actually Shinrei), which allowed him to defeat Hitoshi. Rōjin, as a student of Anika's, passed on certain aspects of the style to the resurgent Imawashī.
