Amaya Kuragari (暗がり雨夜, "Gloomy Night Rain") is the daughter of Second Division Captain Ikiryō Kuragari and Lieutenant Motoko Kuragari.
Appearance[]
Amaya is a very young girl of average height and slim figure for her age. She has fairly long, straight jet black hair and large light green eyes. Her complexion is naturally pale.
She usually wears an elegant, light purple kimono with pink flower motifs, regular tabi and zōri, and a pink ribbon pinned in her hair.
Personality[]
Amaya may be best described as a capricious child. She often maintains an ostensibly sullen demeanour imitating that of her parents', and initially might appear to be unfriendly. However, she is much more lively than one could expect. She is, in fact, quite amiable when given some time. Moreover, she has a penchant for pulling pranks on people, including those she has never met before, but seems to favour her father as the main subject.
She loves both of her parents greatly, even though she is slightly hesitant about showing her affection openly. Notably, she appears to be much more obedient toward her mother, and enjoys to spite her father on a regular basis.
Plot[]
Powers and Abilities[]
Enhanced Speed: She is remarkably fast for a spiritual being of her age. She frequently uses that speed to run away from her father, much to his chagrin.
Average Spiritual Power: Even though still a child, Amaya already possesses a promising amount of spiritual energy. Her Reiatsu is noted to feel somewhat "moody". It has a celadon colour.
Trivia[]
- Ikiryō Kuragari's relationship with Motoko Manihōrudo was developing together with the plot of Bleach: Dark and Light, and as such the author himself was not sure of its outcome until the very end of the series. As a result, Amaya Kuragari was conceptualised only after the end of the story's final arc.
