Aace Archibald (あえいす ああじばるづ A-jibarudu Aeisu) is an Australian Shinigami. When he died, he was strangely admitted into the Soul Society of Japan, instead of his countries corresponding Soul Society. He is the previous incarnation of Azami Hana.
History[]
When he was alive, Aace was a normal human, and lived in Australia. He was normal with one exception. He had enough spiritual power to notice the Hollows around him. This seemed to affect others who came into physical contact with him on a regular basis, (i.e. parents, girlfriends) and he would often find that they would be able to notice the Hollows too and sometimes found that they (the people) "dissapeared" (were eaten by Hollows), including his parents. After awhile he started to grow distant from others, fearful for they safety. Unfortunately do to an accident in the Great Barrier Reef, he was drowned. He later awoke on the water's surface, and found a chain strapped to his chest. He escaped being eaten by Hollows a few times and began to wonder why he was even still on Earth. Eventually a Shinigami came and performed a Konso on him. Upon arriving in the Soul Society he learned what those strange creatures (Hollows) were that he saw and he learned what Shinigami were and he wondered if he could become a Shinigami. After discovering he had great spiritual power he decided to enter the Shinigami Academy. He passed second from the top in his class earning high marks in Swordsmanship and Kidō. He was admitted into the Eleventh Division and quickly rose to 3rd seat. His current goal is to become Captain of his Division, and was training for Bankai. When he died, he was reincarnated as Azami Hana.
Personality[]
Since becoming a Shinigami, Aace's personality has changed. After learning to control his power as a Shinigami he began to open up to people again, and has become a cheerful, battle loving person who do anything, even willing sacrifice himself to save his comrades. He can joke around about his past and he has great respect for his superiors, referring to his Captain as Masaru-taichou and the Captain General as Byakko-dono, a honorific that confers utmost respect.

Zanpakutō[]
Yukizakura (雪桜, Snow Cherry Tree), is Aace's Zanpakuto. It took the form of an ordinary katana, with the exception of the guard which resembles a flower.
- Shikai: It is triggered by the command Glisten (きらめき kirakira)
- Shikai Special Ability: In its shikai state, Yukizakura's blade separated into countless slender, tiny blade fragments, which then fly away from the hilt, leaving only the sword's handle in Aace's hand. With the blades in flight, they reflect light in such a manner that they appear as pure-white cherry blossom petals. By swinging Yukizakura's hilt, Aace can control the blade fragments at will, allowing him to shred opponents at a distance and break through almost any defense. His blade's Shikai is very similar to Byakuya Kuchiki's Senbonzakura.
