The sixteenth division (第十六番隊,Daijūrokubantai ;Squad 16 in the English Dub) is one of the Gotei 13 and one of the other squad in the yuri they are also know as the Special Battle Division (戦闘特別部隊, Sentō Tokubetsu Butai)

Organization

The sixteenth division follow the traditional organization of the Gotei 13 but operate on there own along side Division 15th and 17th. It is composed of two hundred shinigami. The shinigami in it are mostly specialised in kido or other attack tactics to provide support for other units who may be in a disadvantage.
