Kazuya was indeed killed by members of the Coven in this incarnation too, and there might very well have been an attack on the Barracks as well. Most of the storylines might still work, they just need to be properly unearthed first as the Coven has not yet fully revealed itself for what it is.
The precise circumstances around Kazuya’s death though would probably be an assassination carried out by extremists loyal to the Coven’s cause. From my perspective, the Coven has been around for a while now, but its been biding its time and mostly kept to a very small circle of perhaps two to three individuals which are slowly laying the foundation of the Organization as a whole.
Hotaru might very well be one of these people, a mole within the Gotei 13, other such individuals would probably include Hikari Maebure and possibly Shijin assuming we still use him.
Here’s how I envision this storywise.
- Kazuya is killed in a manner very similar to what happened in Dawn of the Coven in an attack on the 9th Division Barracks. Sajin returns some time after and takes over after him.
- After several years of leading the 9th Division and possibly tutoring Hisagi in what it means to be a Captain, Sajin transfers to his current Division in order to allow Shuuhei to succeed him as the Captain of the Ninth.
So basically the Gillian has unleashed a sweeping Cero against all Fullbringers in the immediate vicinity, and it looks like Yasuke might need some backup. I'm gonna wait a bit and see if someone wants to have their character react.
Posted! I'm gonna try to make this a little bit interesting since Gillians aren't really supposed to be fodder.
So for some reason, I've managed to delude myself into forgetting that Ripple in a Pond was the actual Fanon Canon and have been expecting people to post on New Chapter for almost a week. Consequently I haven't really been active.
At this point though, it seems like everything is running smoothly and well according to plan, once Michiyo has banished the Gillian to who knows where, I'll introduce Yuuna, who will in turn contact the other members of the Coven. He's probably hiding out close by, due to the fact that as a Kitsune, he is difficult to sense due to lacking conventional spiritual power.
I suggest that we just have the characters arrive at this point in media res, we don't need to introduce the Fullbringers actually arriving, we'll just have whomever wants to make a post make a post. I'll also be adding more Hollows to the mix in order to prevent everyone from piledriving a single monster and creating chaos.
Indeed! Should give us a bunch of faceless mooks to face off against, you can also have Maika introduce herself and perhaps allude to the presence of other Coven Members nearby such as Xiang Yu, Eleanor and Yuuna.
In regards to the Hollows, I'll help you portray them too when it comes to the initial fight.

I share your frustration, Saris. Anyway, if nothing has happened until the 18th, the two of us will jumpstart the next chapter and simply skip the rest of the character building. We'll then notify the rest of the people and ask them to lend themselves to the FC once again if we do manage to get to the action then I think things will largely sort themselves out.
Edit: After discussing things with Shonen I'm changing this to the 20th or the 21st.
It appears like people have very little interest in the whole introduction thing, so I think its best if we simply hurry along as quickly as possible. If this isn't wrapped up soon we'll simply need to skip right to the next chapter and just off-screen most of the remaining dialogue.
I have no issues sacrificing story in order to get this properly underway.
Edit: Consequently. If nothing happens in the next 24 hours, I will make the next roleplay and we'll simply have to resort to summaries in order to get things moving, at this point, I am tired of all this waiting. We had a great start, but we've more or less lost it now.
The Current RP should be used as a prologue to establish all three parties, is what I think, and then the RP after that is when the first arc truly begins.
So the Captain's meeting has now all but concluded. Since the Shinigami won't arrive for a while yet, I figure that we start by introducing the Fullbringers in their own section, possibly in the form of Xstence's first meeting?
I would be on board with that, I think that Zf6hellion's Kidou Page would be an excellent starting point, assuming he's willing, at least in terms of providing the proper layout and structure. Furthermore he already has most of my spells installed and his explanation of Kido is spot on in my opinion, and thus it has Nanja's royal seal of approval. His spells are also of universally high quality, and worthy to look at.
Unfortunately I'm not as gifted with words as Zf6hellion is or I would've loved to write up my own take on it. But there's something else I could do add to that project, namely creating more spells like the ones I've made before, or develop new exclusive techniques such as I did with Hojūeishō and Shubidō, both of which see extensive use. Much to my delight.
The category that Sigma mentioned is called Kidō Spells, and all of my personal spells are described there, including some recent additions by Saris. Another thing I want to do is to port over several important spells from canon who lack incantations at the current time, and then not only provide actual incantations for them, but restructure and rephrase them in a manner that gives them more personality, an example of this is what I've done with this version of Haien (FC).
Apparently Kazuki and Takayoshi Oda are Co-Lieutenants. That way Sho will retain his old post if he returns to this wiki.
It wasn't Void who convinced Sei, it was me. Shunsui is still the Captain-Commander, he would've been anyway since we decided that we'd kill him off on-screen if we had to do it.
